AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE OITY~Or
AZUSA ESTABLISHING RATES TO BE CHARGED FOR ELEO-
TRIC.SERVICE WITHIN THE CITY OF AZUSA, AND REPEAL-
ING ORDINANCE N0.307 AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR
PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as fol-
SECTION 1.
The monthly rates to be charged and collected by the City
of Azusa for electricity supplied from its electric distribution
system to consumers shall be as follows;
SCHEDULE D -1-A
This schedule is applicable to all consumers of electric
service used sxansAzaU exclusively for GENERAL DOMESTIC AND HOUSE-
HOLD purposes, in single family dwellings, or individually metered
single family flats or apartments, and is restriioted to this partic-
ular ssxzmm service as distinguished from commercial or other uses
of electric service.
The rates under this schedule shall be as follows;
First 50 KWH per meter per month.......... 5.3 cents per KIR
Next 100 KWH per meter per month......... 4.5 cents per KWH
All over 150 KWH per meter per month...... 3.0 cents per bWH
The minimum charge per meter per month shall be $1.00.
SCHEDULE D -1f -B1
This schedule is applicable to all consumers of electric
service used exclusively for GENERkL DOMESTIC AND HOUSEHOLD purposes,
in single family dwellings, or individually metered single family
flats or apartments of seven (7) rooms or less, and is available only
to consumers permanently installing the following;
(1) An electric range of not less than 5 KW tptal rating
where the range is used exclusively for all regular
cooking on the premises, and/or

(2) An electric water heater used exclusively for all
regular water heating on the premises, and/or
(3) Other major equipment of not less than 5 KW total
rating, where such equipment.is regularly used for
houeehold puzmass purposes.,
Major equipment consists of any device for domestic use that
is rated by the manufacturer at one (1) or more kilowatts.
In determining the number of rooms in any single family dwell-

ing,flat or apartment, bathrooms, halls and cellars shall not be olassi-
fied as rooms.
The rates under this schedule shall be as follows=
First go 25 KWE per meter per month .......... 5.3 cents per KWB
Next 125 KWE per meter per month .......... 3.0 cents per KART
All over 150 KART per meter per month ........... 2.0 cents per KART
The minimum charge per meter per month shall be as followst
For first 12 8W or less of connected load in major equipment;
(a) With an electric range or water beater ..... $3.00 per month
(b) Without an electric range or water heater...#6.00 per month
All over 12 KW of connected load in major equipment .... $0.30 per month
per KW.
The minimum charge shall be based on connected load taken at
100 per cent of the nameplate rating of major equipment permanently
connected and which may be connected at.any one time, computed to the
nearest one-tenth (1/10) of a kilowatt. Connected load for water heat=
ere shall be taken as 100 per cent of the rating of base heating units,

SCHEDULE D-142
This schedule is applicable to all consumers of electric
service used exclusively for GENERAL DOMESTIC AND HOUSEHOLD PURPOSES,
in single family dwellings, or individually metered single family flats
or apartments of eight (8) rooms or more, and is available only to con-
sumers permanently installing the following=

(1) An electric range of not less than 5 KW total rating
where the range is.used exclusively for all regular
cooking on the premises, and/or
(2) An electric water heater used exclusively for all
regular water heating on the premises, and/or
(3) Other major equipment of not less than 5 XW total
rating, mhere such equipment is regularly used for
hou6ehold purposeis.

In determining the number of rooms in any single family dwell-
ing, flat or apartment, bathrooms, halls and cellars shall not be
classified as rooms.
The rates under this schedule shall be as follows:

Next 150 KVH per meter per month............... 3.0 cents per KWH
All over 200 KIR per meter per month ............ 2.0 cents per EWH
The minimum charge per meter per month shall be as follows:
For first 12 KW or less of connected load in major equipment:
(a) With an electric range or water heater....$3.00 per month
(b) Without an electric range or water heater $6.00 per month
All over 12 KW of connected load in major equipment.....#0,30 per month
per KW.
The minimum charge shall be based on connected load taken at

The minimum charge shall be as follows=

Whenever, upon teat, any motor is found to be delivering more
than 125 per cent of its capacity as indicated by its nameplate rating,
the City of Azusa may disregard the nameplate rating and base its oharg•-
es upon thei actual output as calculated from test.
SCHEDULE P-4
This schedule is applicable to all consumers of GENERAL POWER
Service, for periods of not less than one year, where the entire electri=
cal requirements of the consumer are regularly supplied by the City of
Azusa at standard voltages of the City of Azusa.
The total charge under this schedule shall be the demand charge
and the energy charge at the following rates:

The minimum charge shall be the demand charge. .The demafnd
charge is payable in twelve equal installments. The energy charge is
payable monthly as energy is used.

Vaenever, upon test, any motor is found to be delivering
more than 125 per cent of its capacity as indicated by its nameplate
rating, the City of Azusa may disregard the nameplate rating and base
its charges upon the actual output as calculated from test.
SECTION 2.
That not more than one residence, flat, apartment,store or
business house shall be on one meter.
SECTION 3.
That if the amount of any bill for electrical energy shall
not be an exact multiple of five (5) cents, such bill shall be reduced
or increased to the nearest multiple of five (5) cents as the case may
be.
SECTION 4. •
That the monthly rates to be charged and collected by the
City of Azusa for electricity supplied from its electric distribution
system to consumers at the respective rates set forth and established
in Section 1 hereof shall be effective on all meter readings taken from
and subsequent to September 19,1937.
SECTION 5.
That Ordinance No.307 passed by the City Council of the
City of Azusa on February 19,1934 and all other ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict with this ordinance or inconstistent therewith,
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6.
The City-OleZk of the City of Azusa shall certify to
the passage and approval of this ordinance, and shall cause the same
to be published once in the O.AZUSA HERALDS" a weekly newspaper, printed,
published and circulated - in the City of Azusa and hereby designated for
that purpose.
