HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 335ORDINA"ICE NO. 3S AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA 11AKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR TWO OR MORE P?RSONS TO OBSTRUCT THE SIDEWALKS OR THE STREETS; REGULATING PUBLIC MEETINGS IN PUBLIC STREETS AND PARKS AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE. as follows: The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain Sec. 1 It shall be unlawful within the limits of the City of Azusa, for any person to stand or sit in or upon any.public street, alley, sidewalk or cross- walk, so as to in any manner hinder or obstruct the free passage therein or thereon of persons along the same way or so as to in any manner annoy or molest persons passing along; the same. Sec. 2. It shall be unlawful within the limits of the City of Azusa, except as hereinafternrovided, for two or more persons to obstruct the sidewalks or streets or to hold meetings thereon or public celebrations therein, or to parade in a body through the streets, witiout first obtaining permission therefor from the Chief of Police of said city; provided however that all permits issued by the Chief of Police hereunder shall designate the time and the particular locality at which any meeting may be held and the time when and the streets upon which any parade may be conducted. Sec. 3. It shall be unlawful within the limits of the City of Azusa for two or more persons to assemble together for the purpose of doing any act of violence or inviting or advising others to do any act of violence or to commit any immoral or criminal act. Sec. 4. It shall be unlawful within the limits of the City of Azusa for any person or persons to assemble together in any of the public parks of said city or to loiter therein for any unlawful or immoral purpose or for any purpose which tends to interfere with the free use of such park by any other person or persons. Sec. 5. It shall be unlawful within the limits of the City of Azusa for any minor or minors to be in the public park or parks of said City of Azusa between the hours of Nine (9) o'clock P. M* and Six (6) o'clock A. M. except during occasions of public celebration. Sec. 6. The City Clerk rha.11 certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper published in the City of Azusa.
