ORDINANCE NO. 376
AN ORDINANCE OF.ThF CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES
COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
THEREOF, PROVIDING AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD FOR
THE PAYMENT OF DELINQUENT TAXES AND ASSESSMENTS
BY DECEMBER 5, 1943, UPON CERTAIN TERMS AND
CONDITIONS.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does
ordain as follows: -
SECTION 1. (A) The word "taxes" as used in
this section includes all taxes and assessments
and annual instalments of assessments charged on
the tax roll.

(B) In all cases where real-estate
has been sold, or an entry has been made on the
tax roll of the City of Azusa that same has been
sold, to the City on or before June 30, 1943; for
delinquent taxes,and the City has not disposed of
said real estate, the person whose real estate
has been so sold or concerning whose real estate
an entry.has been so made, as aforesaid, or his
heirs, executors, administrators, assigns or other
successors in interest, may, on or before December
5, 1943,pay said delinquent taxes in an amount
hereinafter set forth upon condition that at the
time of paying such delinquent taxes or prior
thereto, such taxpayer pays or shall have paid
the first instalment of the current taxes for the
fiscal year 1943 - 1944 which said first instalment
is or up to the time of its payment had been a
lien on the same real estate.
(C) The payment of the delinquent
taxes mentioned in subsection "B" hereof, shall
consist of an amount equal to the full amount of
all delinquent taxes which are delinquent and. unpaid
at the time of said payment, but without interest
or penalty.
(D) The rights and privileges granted
under this Ordinance are cumulative and in addition
to any and all rights and privileges granted by
other Ordinances of the City of Azusa and by other
applicable law, and afford such additional rights
and privileges as an alternative plan for the pay-
ment of Azusa City delinquent taxes for the limited
period set forth herein terminating on December 5,
1943, said rights and privileges being conditioned
upon the prior or simultaneous payment of the first
Instalment of all taxes charged or chargeable on
the current 1943 - 1944 tax.

SECTION 2.• The Mayor shall sign this
Ordinance and the City Clerk shall attest
same and certify to the passage, adoption
and publication thereof, and shall cause the
same to be published once, within 15 days
after its passage, in the Azusa. Herald and
Pomotropi.c, a webkly newspaper -of general
circulation, published and circulated in said
City, which newspaper is hereby designated
for that purpose, and thereupon and thereafter
30 days after its passage said Ordinance shall
take effect and be in force.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was intro-
duced, placed upon its first reading and read at an adjourned
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Azusa,
Los Angeles County, California, duly and regularly held
October 7, 1943 , in the regular Council Chambers of said
City Council in said City of Azusa, Los Angeles County,
California; that said Ordinance was regularly passed and
adopted by said City Council, signed by the Mayor and attes-
ted by the City Clerk of said City at an adjourned regular
meeting of said City Council so held in the regular Council
Chambers of said City Council in said City on the 13th day
of October, 1943, and that same was passed and adopted by

printed, published and circulated in said City of Azusa,
and that the same was published in accordance with law.
