AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,
COUNTY -OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, TO VALIDATE
CERTAIN ACTS OF OFFICERS OF THE CITY OF AZUSA RELATING
TO TAXATION OF PROPERTY, ASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY, EQUALI-
ZATION OF PROPERTY, LEVY OF TAXES, TAX SALES, CERTIFICATE
OF TAX SALES, TAX DEEDS, AND TERMINATION OF RIGHT OF
REDEMPTION FROM TAX SALES OR TAX DEEDS.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows:
SECTION le As used in this act "Officers of the City of
Azusa" include the Tax Collector, City Auditor, City Clerk, City
Assessor and all other officers of the City whose duty it is by
ordinances of the City to do any act in respect to taxation of
property, assessment or equalization of property, levy of taxes
thereon, tax sales, certificate of tax sales, tax deeds or other
conveyances, or to terminating the right of redemption from tax
sales or tax deeds.
SECTION 2; Every act and proceeding heretofore taken by any
officer of the City of Azusa relative to the preparation, transmitting,
computing, determining or fixing the budget or the tax rate or rates
Of the City, or to the assessment or equalization of property, or
to the levy of taxes thereon, or to tax sales or certificates of
tax sales, tax deeds or other conveyances, or to termination of
the right of redemption from tax sales or tax deeds issued to the
City are hereby confirmed, validated and declared legally effective.
SECTION 3: (a) This ordinance is limited to the correction
of defects, irregularities and ministerial errors which the Legislative
Body of the City of Azusa originally could have omitted from the
statutory requirements of law under which the acts hereby confirmed,
validated and declared legally effective were taken.
(b) This ordinance is limited to the validation
Of acts and proceedings to the extent to which the same can be
effectuated under the State and Federal Constitutions.
SECTION 4: If any provision of this ordinance or its application
to any person or.circumstances is held invalid, the remainder of this
ordinance and the application of its provisions to other persons or
circumstances is not affected.

SECTION 5: The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk
shall attest the same and certify to the passage, adoption and publication
of the same and shall cause the same to be published once within fifteen
days after its passage in the Azusa Herald and. Pomotropic, a weekly news-
paper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of
Azusa, which. said newspaper is hereby designated for that purpose.and
thirty days after its passage, said ordinance shall then take effect and.
