HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 384follows: r ORDINANCE NO. 384 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING SECTION I OF ORDINANCE NO. 374, ENTITLED IIAN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA PROHIBITING VEHICLES TO BE TURNED SO AS TO PROCEED IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, AT THE INTERSECTION OF AZUSA AVENUE AMD FOOTHILL BOULEVARD IN SAID CITY, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTY THEREFOR" DULY PASSED ON THE 21st DAY OF JUNE 1943 AND DULY APPROVED ON THE 21st DAY OF JUNE 1943 AND ADDING A NEW SECTION THERETO TO BE KNOWN AS SECTION 12. The City Council of the City of Azusa do ordain as SECTION I. Section I of Ordinance No. 372, entitled, "AN' ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA PROHIBITING VEHICLES TO BE TURNED SO AS TO PROCEED TO THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, AT THE INTERSECTION OF AZUSA AVENUE AND FOOTFILL BOULEVARD IN SAID CITY, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTY THEREFORT, duly passed and approved on the 21st day of June 1943, is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION I. It is hereby made unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to turn said vehicle so as to proceed in the opposite direction at the intersection o.f said Foothill Boulevard and Azusa Avenue in the city of Azusa nor at any other place on said Foothill Boulevard except at intersections other than the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Azusa Avenue. SECTION 1z. It is hereby made unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to turn said vehicle so as to proceed in the opposite direction at the intersection of -Azusa Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in the city of Azusa nor at any other place on said Azusa Avenue except Lteintersections, other than the Intersection of Azusa Avenue and Foothill Boulevard, SECTION II. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in one local issue of the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper of;_general`circul&tion^eStabliahed:;, printed and published in the city of Azusa. -1- I hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was duly passed by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting held on September 35d, 1946 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen: Nasser, Jumper, Mermnesheimer, Malone, Lamm. Hynes, City Clerk of the City of Azusa hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California, duly and regularly held on the 19 day of August, 1946, in the regular Council Ch.amber 3n said City of Azusa; that said Ordinance was regularly passed and adopted by said City Council, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk of said City at a regular meeting of said City Council held in the regular Council Chambers on the 3 day of September, 1946, and that the same was passed and adopted by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen: Nasser, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Malone, Larrcn. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. I, M. A.
