ORDINANCE NO. 408 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 344 ENTITLED HAN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, REQUIRING TRAFFIC TO STOP BEFORE ENTERING CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS; REQUIRING THE ERECTION OF STOP SIGNS AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONO DULY PASSED ON THE let DAY OF MAY 1939, AND DULY APPROVED ON THE let DAY OF MAY, 1939. The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 344 entitled HAN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, REQUIRING TRAFFIC TO STOP BEFORE ENTERING CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS; REQUIRING THE ERECTION OF STOP SIGNS AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION," duly passed on the let day of May, 1939, and duly approved on the let day of May, 1939, is hereby amended to read as follows: °SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Azusa, is hereby authorized to determine by resolution, upon what intersection or intersections of streets, alleys, boulevards, or private right of way, stop and go signals for the purpose of regulating traffic shall in the future be installed and maintained at or near the property line of the boulevard, street, alley or private right of way, said stop signs to conform to the requirements of the California Vehicle Code." SECTION 2. The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage, adoption and publication of the same, and shall cause same to be published once within fifteen days after its passage in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper of general circulation pub- lished and circulated in the City of Azusa, which said newspaper Is hereby designated for that purpose, and thereupon and there- after thirty days after its passage this Ord nance shall take effect and be in force.
