AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, ANNEXING A PORTION OF LOT 88,
SUBDIVISION NO. 2, AZUSA LAND AND WATER
COMPANY (LEE SCHOOL).
The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby ordain
as follows:
Section 1. Whereas, there has heretofore been presented
a petition for annexation of uninhabited territory and, whereas,
proceedings have been taken pursuant to the provisions of
Title 4, Division 2, Part 2, Chapter 1, Article 5 of the
Government Code of the State of California.
Section 2. The City Council, by Resolution Number 2771,
having set June 15th, 1953, at the hour of 7:30 otclock P. M.
as the hour at which protests will be heard.
Section 3. There having been no protests filed, and it
appearing to the City Council that the City Clerk has filed
with the City of Azusa an affidavit of publication and an
affidavit of service of written notice, and done each and all
the other acts required to be done pursuant to the provisions
of Resolution 2771, and pursuant to the provisions of law under
and by virtue of the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939.
Section 4. The following described property is hereby

of the City of Azusa as same existed on April 20,
1953; thence southerly along said boundary to
the northerly line of Alosta Avenue (formerly
Fifth Street) 60 feet wide as shown on map of
Subdivision No. 1 of bands of Azusa Land & Water
Co:, recorded in Book 16, pages 17 and 18 of
Miscellaneous Records in the office of said
recorder; thence easterly along said northerly
line to the westerly line of Los Angeles Street
(40 feet wide), formerly an unnamed road shown
lying easterly of and adjoining the easterly
line of Lot 88 of Subdivision No. 2, Azusa
Land and Water Co. on map recorded in Book 43,
page 94 of said Miscellaneous Records; thence
northerly along said westerly line to a line
that is parallel with and 515 feet northerly
measured at right angles from said northerly
line of Alosta Avenue; thence westerly along
said parallel line to the southerly pro-
longation of the easterly line of said Lot 7;
thence northerly along said prolongation to
the southeasterly corner of said Lot 7; thence
westerly in a direct line to the point of
beginning.
Section 5. When this ordinance becomes effective, the City
Clerk shall immediately prepare a certified copy of this
ordinance, giving the date of its passage, and transmit the
same to the Secretary of State of the State of California,
pursuant to the provisions of law.
Section 6. The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the
City Clerk shall attest the same and certify as to the passage
and adoption hereof, and shall cause the same to be published
once in the Canyon City News, a newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in the City of Azusa. This ordinance
shall be effective thirty (30) days after the passage hereof.
