1 ORDINANCE
2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF
3 CALIFORNIA, REGULATING THE MAKING OF FALSE
STATE14ENTS AND REPORTS TO THE POLICE DEPART -
4 MENT OF THIS CITY.

6 The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as
follows:

SECTION 1: It shall be unlawful for any person to make
8 or to file with the Police Department of the City of Azusa or any
officer thereof, any false, misleading or unfounded statement or
9 report concerning the commission or alleged commission of any
crime occuring in this City.

SECTION 2: Any person violating any of the provisions
11 of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed
12 $500.00, or by imprisonment in the City or County Jail for a
period of not to exceed six months, or by both such fine and
13 imprisonment.
14 SECTION 3: The Mayor Shall sign this Ordinance and the
City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption
15 of the same and cause the same to be published in the manner
provided by law in the Canyon City News, a weekly newspaper of
16 general circulation, published and circulated in said City and
thirty days after its passage the same shall be in full force
17 and effect.
