The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular adjourned session at ,
the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
Johnson, Mace, 'Muehe, Meier, City
Attorney and City Clerk. Absent:
Councilman: Demmitt.
' The City Engineer reported that he had tabulated the
bids received .for certain wor'z on certain portions of Orange
Avenue and Certain other streets and avenuos within the City
of Azusa, as contemplated by Resolution of Intention No. 1192,
received by the Cit-; Council on the 3rd day of February, 1930
and that he found that C. L. Hill was the lowest regular, re-
sponsible bidder for the work to be done, and thereupon Council-
man Pdace introduced the following Resolution: Resolution No.
1201, entitled, "A Resolution of the City Council of the City
of Azusa awarding the contract ^or certain work on certain
portions of Orange Avenue and certain other streets and avenues
within said City' .
Councilman Muehe moved the adoption of said Resolution,
which was seconded by Councilman Mace and carried by the
following vote, to -wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Johnson, Mace, Muehe, Meier.
NOES: Councilmen: None.
ABSENT: Councilman: Demmitt.
Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded
by Councilman Mace that the City

Clerk be instructed to return all
certified checks to the unsuccess-
ful bidders. Carried by the
following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Johnson, Mace,
Muehe, Meier. Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman: Demmitt.
Councilman Muehe reported that the
rate charged by the Azusa Herald,
for legal printing for the year
1930, in their bid submitted on
February 3, 1930, was a uniform rate
charged by weekly newspapers in this
section and in as much as the Azusa
Herald was the only legal newspaper
in Azusa, Councilman P,Iuehe made a
motion which was seconded by Councilman
Mace, that the bid of the Azusa Herald
for legal printing for the year 1930
be accented.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Johnson,
Mace, Ivtuehe, Meier, Noes: None.
' Absent: Councilman: Dem-litt.
A request made by 0. C. Goldner to use
the Auditorium for one performance
of a Puppet Show, was read.
Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded
by Councilmen Johnson that same be
denied. Carried by the following
vote of the Council.: Ayes: Council-
men: Johnson, Mace, Ialuehe, Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman:
Demmitt.
Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded
by Councilman Mace that the following
bills be allowed and warrants ordered
drawn upon the Treasurery for same.
City Clerk in-
structed to
return all checks.
Azusa Herald awarded
contract for legal
Printing.
Request to use
Auditorium Denied.
