ORDINANCE NO. 498
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 444
OF SAID CITY, ENTITLED: "'AN ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA FIXING THE
SALARY OR COMPENSATION OF CERTAIN CITY OFFICERS
OF SAID CITY AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT THEREWITH`",
AND FIXING THE COMPENSATION AND THE PENAL SUM
OF THE BOND OF THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA FOR THE TERM OF OFFICE BEGINNING WITH
THE NEW TERM OF OFFICE IN APRIL, 1956.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 444 of the City of Azusa, entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA FIXING THE
SALARY OR COMPENSATION OF CERTAIN CITY OFFICERS OF SAID CITY AND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT
THEREWITH", be, and the same is hereby repealed, effective April
17th, 1956,
SECTION 2. That from and after the election to be held in
April, 1956, the salary of the City Clerk of the City of Azusa
shall be the sum of Five Hundred Fifty Dollars ($550.00) per month,
and that said $550.00 per month shall be in full for all services
rendered by said City Clerk as such and all fees collected by said
City Clerk, as such, except as by ordinance otherwise provided,
shall be paid into the Treasury of the City of Azusa.
SECTION 3. Said City Clerk shall furnish said City with a
proper bond in the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00),
in the form and manner required by law.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of irdinances in conflict
with or inconsistent with the provisions -of this ordinance are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City
Clerk shall attest the same and certify as to the,passage and
adoption hereof, and shall cause the same to be published once in
the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper of general
circulation, published and circulated in the City of Azusa, which
said newspaper is hereby designated for that purpose and thereupon,
thirty days after its passage, this ordinance shall take effect and
be in force,

I, James Miller , City Clerk of the City of Azusa, Los
Angeles County, California, do hereby certify that the fore—
going ordinance was duly introduced at a -regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Azusa on the 6th day of
February ,195 6 and was duly and regularly passed and
adopted by the City Council, signed and approved by the
Mayor, attested by the City Clerk, at a regular meeting held
on the 20th day of February 195 6 that the same .was
passed and adopted by the following vote of the Council:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Fawcett, Ortuno, Romero, Memmesheimer
NOES: COUNCILMEN: Johnson
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
I do further certify that I caused said Ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the
passage thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in.
