Present at roll call: Councilmen: Irlace, Muehe, Meier, City Clerk, Absent Councilmen: Demmitt, Johnson, and City Attorney. The minutes of t=e Last regular meet- ing of February 17, 1930 were read and approvedas read. A communication from J. II. `!alsh was read. Moved by Councilman Iduehe, seconded by Councilman Mace and unanimously Mr. VValsh's re - carried that Mr. V.1alsh1s request to quest denied. raise hogs within the City Limits be denied. The request of the Calvert Electric Shop to supply the City of Azusa :vith incandescent lamps for one year having been referred to the Purchasing Com- mittee, Councilman Muehe made a motion Calvert Electric seconded by Councilman Mace that the Shop granted per - City Clerk be instructed to sign the mission to supnl.y Purchase agreement between the City City r­ith lamps. of Azusa and the Calvert Electric Shop. Railroad Company, ized to drn,7 warrant being the fee required to place a in favor of A. T. & pipe line under the track on Foothill S. F. for 8P5.00. This ordinance was then read for the first time. Mr. Cornelius Smith addressed the Council. concerning the improvement of Fifth Street. Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by Councilman Mace that the City Attorney be instructed to draft a resolution rescinding, that section of Resolution No. 1166, approving Fifth Street as a Major highway in and through the City of Azusa. The",,'= -a Highway Plan" having been ;resented to the City Council by the Regional Planning Commission. Carried by the foll.owing vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Muehe, Meier. Noes: done. Absent: Countilmen: Demmitt, Johnson. Moved by Councilman hIuehe, seconded by Councilman Mace that the following bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon the Treasurery for the same.
