D. Stephens, for raise in s alary arras presented . Moved by Councilman Muehe, Seconded by Councilman Johnson that same be referred to the Board of Public ':forks. Carried by the following vote of the Council: .".yes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, "`illiams, ivluehe, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: None. A communication from IIarry E. Bonnell. and associates requesting that they be granted the privilege of bidding on the City's annual audit was presented. Mayor Meier referred same to the Audit and Finance Committee, to report back at next meeting. A communication from Mayor Baker of E1 Monte regarding a committee meeting, to discuss the Engineer's report on ' the sewer situation in the San Gabriel Valley, was read. It arras agreed that Ma'ror Meier and Councilmen Prluehe attend this meeting_ on P.Iay 9, 1930. The following report from the office of Supervisor of Census was read: 7:30 P.M. The population of Azusa City, County of Los Angeles, State of California as shown by a preliminary count of the returns of the Fifteenth Census, taken as of April. 1, 1930, Present at roll call: Councilmen: P:Iace, Johnson, '' illiams, I,Iuehe, I+Iei.er, City Attorney and City Cler1.. The minutes of the last regular meeting of April 21, 1930 were read and a^proved as read. ' A Communication from Ira Calvert and one from MacDonald Ronner applying for the positions of Ivianager and assistant manager of the Slau.son Memorial Plunge, during the summer, were read. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Muehe that this matter be referred to Councilman Johnson, raith power to act. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, �Iilliams, Muehe, h=eier. Noes::None. Absent: None. A communication signed by M. R. Frisbee and George W.
