The City Council of the City of
City of Azusa met in regular adjourned
session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen
Mace, Johnson, Williams, Muehe,
Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk.
An invitation from all -Veterans League
for Service was presented.
' Moved and carried that same be placed
on file.
A communication from Wm. J. Bolden,
City Treasurer was read. Moved by
Councilman Williams, seconded by
Councilman Muehe that the City Clerk
be instructed to draw a warrant on
the General Fund in the amount or
$193.25, in favor of the Street Work
#1 Fund. The same to be returned to
the General Fund when tax apportion-
ment is made. Carried by the follow-
ing vote of the Council; Ayes:
Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Williams,
Muehe'•;: Meier. Noes: None. Absent:
None.
A communication from the Clinic Nurse,
Mrs. Humphries, was presented.
Moved by Councilman I -lace, seconded
by Councilman Muehe that same be
referred to the Purchasing Committee,
with power to act. Carried by the
following vote. Ayes: Councilmen:
' Mace, Johnson, ',dill.iams, Muehe, Meier.
Noes; None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Williams seconded
by Councilman Mace that the 61ty Clerk
be instructed to draw a warrant on the
General Fund in favor of the Griffith
Company in the amount of approximately
$2600.00, in payment of the assessment
levied upon City property for the
improvement of Foothill Boulevard.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace,
Johnson, Williams, Muehe, Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded
by Councilman Williams that the City
Clerk be instrud.ted to write the
Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad
Company asking them to proceed with
the installation of a wig -wag at the
intersection of Foothill Boulevard
and Virginia Ave., according to the .
out line given in their letter to
' Mr. Kressly. Carried by the following
vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen,
Mace, Johnson, Williams, Muehe, Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Councilman Johnson offered the re-
solution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF A7USA EXPRESSING THEIR
HEARTYAPPREGIATION FOR, AND IN BEHALF
OF THE CITIZENS OF SAID CITY FOR THE
GIFT OF COCOS PI.,UMOSAS PALMS PLANTED
ON FOOTHIT,h BOULEVARD.
