Present at roll call: Cnuncil.men: Mace, Johnson. 1Suehe, Meier. Citi; Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman: 111il l i ams . The minutes of the. last rorular meeting of July 7th and the adi(�urned meeting of July 14, 1930 wereread and approved as read. Councilman V;1ill.iams entered the meting during the reading of the minutes. A communication .from Fred. E3. ^lood, Legislative Counsel, State of Calif- ornia, also letter from F. A. Banahan, Secretary for the Los Angeles County Citizens Committee were read and dis- cussed. It was agreed that at least three members of the City Council attend the meeting of the Committee in T,onf- Beach on Jul;, 25, 1930. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Mace that James Rogers, Sr. be granted a two weeks vacation with pay. Carried by the following vote of the Council; Aves: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Williams, 'Muehe, Meier. Noes. None. Absent: None. Noes: None. Absent: None. Communication from F. B. Wood read and discussed. James Rogers Granted two weeks vacation with pay. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman 1 -Ince that the request for renewal of policies No. L. A. 864819 and L. A. 864818 which expires Au moist 15, 1930 be referred to the Finance and Audit Committee with power to act. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Llace:: that the Mayor and City Clerk be instructed to sign Contract betwe,2n the City of Azusa and The H: M. Salisbury Company for the purchase of a ne,.-i ford pickup to be used by the Water Department, carried by the following vote of the Council:: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Williams, Mue^e, Mieir. Noes; None. Absent: None. The Mayor appointed the following committee: AUDIT AND FINl.NCE J. C. Muehe C. E. Williams Charles Mace. City Clerk instructed to renew Street Sunerin- tendents Bond. Renewal of policies referred to Audit & Finance Committee with power to act. Mayor and City Clerk Authorized to sign agreement between City of Azusa and H. M. Salisbury.
