The City Council. of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the above
time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilman
Mace, Johnson, Williams, Mu®he,
City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent:
Mayor Meier.
Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded
by Councilman Mace that Councilman
Muehe be appointed acting Mayor of
the City of Azusa during the absence
' of Mayor Meier. Carried by the
following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilman: Mace, Johnson,
Williams, Muehe. Noes: None.
Absent: Mayor Meier.
The minutes of the last regular
meeting of September 15th of the
Special Meeting of September 29th,
the adjourned meetings of September
30th and October 1, 1930 were read
and approved as read.
Councilman Mace offered a resolution
entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF AZUSA APPOINTING JACK
PIERCE BUILDING INSPECTOR OF TIIE CITY
OF AZUSA WITHOUT COMPENSATION.
Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded
by Councilman '!illiams that this
resolution be adopted as read and
numbered Resolution #1239. Carried
by the following vote of the Council.:
Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Williams,
' Muehe, Noes: None. Absent: Council-
man Meier.
The Final Report of the City Planning
Commission was read. Moved
by Councilman Williams, seconded by
Councilman Mace and duly carried that
same be placed on file.
Councilman Johnson offered a resolution
entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF AZUSA, DIRECTING N''TICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING ON FINAL REPORT OF CITY
PLANNING COMMISSION.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded
by Councilman Johnson that this resolu-
tion be adopted as read and numbered
Resolution #1240. Carried by the
following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson,
Williams, Muehe. Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Meier.
' A communication from Mrs. Collopy
was read regarding noise originating
at the Boulevard Cafe.
Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded
by,councilman Mace that this matter
be referred to the City Attorney.
Communication from the City of Lynwood
and League of California Municipalities
were read and ordered placed on file.
Councilman Mace made a motion that
ordinance entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA PRE-
SCRIBING THE ADDITIONAL DUTIES OF
POLICEMEN AND FIREMEN.

ordinance be adopted as read and ORDINANCE NO. 291

Moved by Councilman Williams, seconded

Westinghouse Electric Manufacturing
Company for Voltage regulator be
Bid of Westinghouse
approved and accepted, and all other
Electric Co. for voltage
bids rejected. That payment for same
regulatot approved and
be gs follows: the total sum of
accepted.
4099.00 be divided into thirds; the
first third to be paid upon presenta-
tion of invoice, with bill of lading
attached, the seconded payment to be
one third of total amount, raid thirty
days thereafter, the last third and
final payment to be paid ninety days
later. It shall also be agreed that
installation and twenty-four hour
test run be made, by the Westinghouse
Electfic Manugacturing Co. under the
supervision of the Superintendent
of Light and Power before the City's
acceptance of voltage regulator.
An order for labor and material to '�e
issued for same, on date of installa-
tion.

Moved by Councilman Williams, seconded
by Councilman Mace that the Street
Superintendent be instructed to proceed Street Superintendent
with the completion of Virginia Avenue instructed to proceed
Crossing. Carried by the following vote %'ith completion of
of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Virginia Ave. Crossing.
Johnson, Williams, Muehe. Noes: None
Absent: Co:ncilman Meier.

ordered drawn upon the Treasury for the
