Present at roll call: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Williams, Muehe, Meier, City Attorney. Absent: City Clerk. Owing to the absence from the City of Mrs. Hynes, City Clerk, upon motion by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Williams that Councilman Muehe be appointed to act as Clerk of the meeting. Carried ' by the follo,sing vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Williams, Muehe, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: None. Minutes of t egular meeting of October 6th/��3� read and approved as read. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Williams that the report of the County Health Denartment be read and ordered placed on file. J. R. Pinkstaff's request for a two weeks vacation was read. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Williams that t!,is vacation be granted with pay. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Williams, Muehe, Meier. Noes: Nones. Absent: None. .A communication from H. Norberg was read and ordered placed on file A communication from City of Grand Rani.ds was read and ordered placed on file. An application for position of Police Officer to fill the vacancy of Ed. Hurt was offered by L. V. Rhodes. Moved and carried that same be refered to the Committee -of Police and Sanitation, with power to act. Carried by the following vote of the Council:. Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, "Williams, Muehe, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: None. 357 Councilmen Muehe appointed Clerk in City Clerk's absence. Report of County Health Department ordered placed on file J. R. Pinkstaff grant- ed two weeks vacation with pay. Ed. Hurt's resignation accepted. Communication filed. Communication filed. The resignation of Ed. Hurt as Special ' Police Officer was presented. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Mace that same be accepted with regrets and a letter as such, be written to him.
