Present at roll call: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Meier, and City Clerk. Absent: Councilmen: Williams, Muehe, and City Attorney. The minutes of the last regular meeting of November 17. 1930 were read and approved as read. A.communication from F. L. Dingman and one from Mr. 'A'. G. Wheatley were read; requesting the Council to proceed with the necessary plans for the installa- tion of ornamental lights on San Gabriel Avenue. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Mace that the City Engineer be instructed to include plans and specifications for ornamental Street Lights on San Gabriel Avenue, from Second Street to Twelfth Street, with the proceedings for ornamental lights on Azusa Avenue between First and Fifth Streets., also to include in these proceedings plans and Specifications for ornamental lights on Azusa Avenue from Tenth to Eleventh Street. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman:Williams and Muehe. A communication signed by E. C. Eaton, Chief Engineer of the Los Angeles County Flood Control, was read regarding the concrete slab over Little Dalton :','ash. Councilman_ Mace presented a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AGREEING TO PAY THE COST OF CONSTRUCTING CONCRETE SLABS OVER THE CONCRETE CONDUIT IN THE LITTLE DALTON TJ'ASH IN THE CITI: OF AZUSA. Moved by Councilman Johnson,seconded by Councilman Mace that this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1244. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson. Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen: Muehe, Williams, A communication from the National Audit and Appraisal. Company was read. Moved and carried that same be placed on file and City Clerk instructed to umite this Firm informing them that the City Council have employed Auditors for the current year. An application for a two weeks vacation signed by Walter Lovelace was presented. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Johnson that Walter Lovelace be granted a two weeks vacation with pay. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen: t^lilliams, Muehe. Councilman Mace offered an ordinance entitled: City Engineer instruct ed to prepare plans & specifications. RESOLUTION NO. 1244 ADOPTED. Communication ordered placed on file. Walter Lovelace granted two weeks vacation with pay. 9XTJJ m Rz!!tl MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING HELD December 1, 1930 7:30 Pm. 375 AN ORDINANCE OF T9E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING SECTION FOUR OF ORDINANCE NO. 261, ENTITLED: "AN OR= DINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLTSHING THE OFFICE OF BUILDING INSPECTOR, FIXING HIS COMPENSA- TION, DEFINING HIS DUTIES, ESTABLISHING FIRE T,IMITS IN SAID CITY AND P'?OVTDING REGULATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, ALTERA- TION AND REPAIR OF BUILDINGS IN SAID CITY, AND PRESCRTBING THE PENALTY FOR ' THE VIOLATION OF SAID ORDINANCE AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THERDIITH"; DULY PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 15TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1926', AS AMENDED BY SECTION ONE. OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, FNTTTLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING SECTION FOUR OF ORDINANCE NO. 261;" 71HICH ORDINANCE NO. 266 %'IAS DULY PASSED AND APPROVM ON THE 21ST DAY -OF MARCH, 1927. to be placed on its second reading. This ordinance was read for the second time. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Johnson that this ordinance be adopted as read and numbered Ordinance No. 293. Carried by the following vote of -the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen: Williams, Muehe. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Mace that the City Clerk be instructed to draw an warrant in ' favor of the Griffith Company, in the sum of $4131.11; the final payment on assessment against City property and School property, for the improvement of Foothill Boulevard. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Meier. Noes: .None. Absent: Councilmen: Williams, Muehe. Moved by Councilman Jphnson, seconded by -Councilman Mace that the following bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon the Treasury for the same.
