A motion was made and carried that the City Clerk he instructed to inform the County Supervisors that the City of Azusa would cooperate with the County in endeavoring to cope with this situation. Powell, our fellow townsman, friend and associate, has passed from our midst to that undiscovered country from igrhose bourn no traveler returns; and 'PUEREAS, the late '.'+. R. Powell spent many years of Isis unselfish, active and fruitful life in our midst and in the San Gabriel Valley: and 7flTFRF]AS9 the deceased, during his years here, gave abundantly of his time, effort, money and love, devoting all to the upbu.ilding of our community and to much of the San Gabriel Valley: and 1*1HEREAS, the fruits of his kiork and efforts are notably apparent tbrouthout San Gabriel Valley and will endure and long stand as a monument to his exalted life and character; and WHEREAS, the passing of our friend 'N. R.
