December 15, 1930 7:30 P.1: 379 Present at roll call: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Williams, Muehe, Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk. Councilman Johnson offered a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ORDERING A CERTAIN QUIT CLAIM DEED RECORDED-. Moved by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Mace that this resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1246. RESOLUTION NO. 1246 Carried by the Following vote of the ADOPTED. A resolution adopted by the Los Angeles County Supervisors relative to the unemployed, was read. A motion was made and carried that the City Clerk he instructed to inform the County Supervisors that the City of Azusa would cooperate with the County in endeavoring to cope with this situation. A communication from Charles G. Adams was read and ordered placed on file. A communication from the American Manufacturer's Appraisal. Company was read and ordered placed on file. A report of the 'A'ater and Light Books made by Crensha,,�T and Company Auditors, was presented and ordered placed on file. Councilman Muehe offered the follow- ing resolution which was confirmed by the Council: RESOLUTION NO. 1248 RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE Communication filed. Powell, our fellow townsman, friend and associate, has passed from our midst to that undiscovered country from igrhose bourn no traveler returns; and 'PUEREAS, the late '.'+. R. Powell spent many years of Isis unselfish, active and fruitful life in our midst and in the San Gabriel Valley: and 7flTFRF]AS9 the deceased, during his years here, gave abundantly of his time, effort, money and love, devoting all to the upbu.ilding of our community and to much of the San Gabriel Valley: and 1*1HEREAS, the fruits of his kiork and efforts are notably apparent tbrouthout San Gabriel Valley and will endure and long stand as a monument to his exalted life and character; and WHEREAS, the passing of our friend 'N. R. Also that the Clerk be authorized to draw a warrant In the amount of 1480.00, the Janitor's salary for one month, made payable to Mr. Pinkstaff.
