The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the ^bove time
and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
Mace, Johnson, '"il.liams, Muehe, Pleier,
City Clerk. Absent: City Attorney.
The minutes of the last regular meeting
of December 15, 1930 were read and approved
as read.
An invitation from the Imperial Valley
Fire Departments was read and ordered
placed on file.

A letter from the Lns Anreles Chamber
'of Commerce inviting the members of the
!City Council to be present at a meeting,
to be held for the purpose of discussing
possible regulations of orchard heating
so as to eleminate smoke nuisance,
Iwas read. A motion was made and
carried that as many members as could do
so should attend this meeting.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by
Councilman Johnson that the renewal
of the Liability Policy for the Light
and Water Department be referred to the
Audit and Finance Committee, with power
to act. Carried by the following vote
of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace,
Johnson, Williams, Muehe, Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: None.

Councilman Mace offered a Resolution
entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

JANITW3 OF THE MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS OF
THE CITY CF A7USA.
Moved by Councilman Williams, seconded
by Councilman Muehe that this resolution
be adopted as read and numbered Resolution
No. 1249.
Carried by the following vote of the
Councbl: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace,
Johnson, Williams, Muehe, Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
The City Clerk presented two petitions;
one containing fourteen signatures for
the improvement of San Gabriel Avenue
and one containing seventy-three signatures
protesting the improvemnr.t.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded
by Councilman Johnson that the petitions
be placed on file.

sale a team of mules, owned by the Street
