The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the above
time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilman Mace,
Williams, Muehe, Meier. City Attorney
and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman
Johnson.
The minutes of the last regular meeting
of March 2nd and Special session of
March 9, 1931, were read and approved
' as read.
The communications received from Senator
Clock and Assemblyman Harry Sewell
were read and ordered placed on file.
A communication from the Prizer Manu-
facturing Company wasead. Moved
by Councilman Mace, sc�onded by Council-
man Muehe and duly carried that the
City Clerk be instructed to write this
company requesting that they call for
the model 30 Prizer Fertilizer Applicator
left with the Park Superintendent some
time ago.
The monthly report of the Los Angeles
-County Health Department was presented.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by
Councilman Muehe that same be accepted
and placed on file.
A letter from Mr. E. L. Young, assistant
to President Real Estate, taxes and
Resorts, of the Pacific Electric Railway
Company, was presented.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by
Councilman '`lilTiams and duly carried
that the City Clerk be instructed to
' write Mr. Young requesting him to be
present at the next •regular meeting
of the City Council held April 6, 1931.
A communication from the Board of Fire
Underwriters of the Pacific, with
recommendations relative to condition
of fire protection, was presented.
Moved by Councilman 71illiams, seconded
by Councilman Mace and duly carried
that this matter be referred to the
Police and Sanitation Committee, to
report back at next meeting.
A letter, signed by W. W. Bently, re-
questing oil and gravel be placed on
7:30 P.M. 419

Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by
Councilman Williams and duly carried
that the City Attorney be instructed
to write a letter of explanation to

Mr. Hunt.
A letter from E. J. Mead, requesting
permission to bid on refuse Disposal
Contract was read. Moved by Councilman
Muehe, seconded by Councilman 71illiams
that the City Clerk be instructed to
write Mr. Mead giving him the date that
the City will advertise for bids for
this work.
