Present at roll call: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Williams, Tduehe, Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk. The minutes of the last regular meting of June 1, 1931 were read and approved as read. The monthly report of the Los Angeles County Health Depnrtment was presented. Moved and carried that same be accepted and placed on file. A communication from the F. C. Collins, Secretary for the San Gabriel Vnlley Protective Association, rel,etive to a meeting to be held Junes 18, 1931, was read. Moved and carried that the City Attorney represent the City of Azusa at this meeting. A card expressing the appreciation of Mrs. Case and family was read and ordered placed on file. A communication from Mr. Escobar asking damages in the extent of 1117.10 for his car, having backed same into a fire plug on Foothill Boulevard, was read. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Johnson that Mr. Escobar's letter be referred to the City Attorney. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, ",il.liams, T.Tuehe, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: None. 7:30 P.M. 457 Monthly Report of Los Angeles County Health Department ordered placed on file. City Attorney to re- present City of Azusa at meeting of San Gabriel Valley Protec- tive Association. Card ordered filed. Moved and carried that this communication be placed on file. f Moved by Councilman Iilliams, seconded by Councilman Johnson that the Idayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign a contract with the Standard Oil Company* for one years supply of gasoline. Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign con- tract between City of Azusa and Standard Oil Company. Councilman Johnson, Chairman of Police and Sanitation Committee reported that C. C. Councilman Muehe offered a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE; ' CITY OF A7USA, CAT,IE'ORNIA, PRO'JIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF FOUR 'TIIOUSAND DOLLARS (49000.00) FROM THE ELECTRIC LIGHT FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Johnson that this resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1265. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Williams, I'+Iuehe, 1.Ieier. Noes: None. Absent: None.
