Present at roll call.: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Muehe, Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilmen ':41illiams. The Minutes of the last regular session of Aupust 3, 1931 were read and approved as read. ' A communication signed by '1. A. James requesting a refund of license paid on pool hall was read. Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by Councilman. Mace that this matter be referred to the City Clerk to instruct the Chief of Police to collect license from new owner before refund could be made. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Muehe, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Williams. A communication from Lee R. Stratton relative to restricting colored people in Lot 48 of Sub. #2 Azusa Land & ':7ater Company., was read. Moved by Councilman Tdace, seconded by Councilman Muehe and unanimously carried that the City Clerk be instructed to acknowl.edrTe and file said letter. Applications for a two weeks vacation made by Arthur Wolfe and Mildred Howell were read. Moved by Council- man Mace seconded by Councilman Johnson that Mildred Horsell and Arthur 117olfe be granted a two weeks vacation �-rith pay. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Muehe, Meier. Noes: Nene. Absent: Councilman Williams. The monthly report of the Los Angeles County Health Department was read. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Johnson that same be accepted and placed on file. Mayor Meier nominated the following, members of the Azusa City Planning Commission, to serve: F. A. Hayden, Cornelius Smith, Chas. Carr, Albert Miller, and J. M. McLease. The nomination was approved by Councilmen: Mace, Johnson and Muehe. Councilman Williams absent. 483 Communication referred to City Clerk. Communication acknowledge and filed. Mildred Howell and Arthur 'Nolfe granted two weeks vacation with pay. L. A. County Health Dept. monthly report read and ordered filed. Communication read and City Clerk instructed to make four reservations. TAnyor Meier nominated Planning :'Commission,) A communication from Mayor of Long Beach inviting_ Councilmen to attend luncheon was read. Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by Councilman Johnson that the City Clerk be instructed to write C. E. Ft6kling, requesting four reserva- tions for the City of Azusa. ' Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, J,hnson, Muehe, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman: Williams. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded RESOLUTION NO. 1270 by Councilman Muehe, that ttiiis ADOPTED. resolution be adopted as read and ' numbered Resolution No. 1270. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Cnuncilmen: Mace, Jphnson, Muehe, Meier. Noes: None. 'Absent: Councilmen Williams. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Mace that the following bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon the Treasury for the same.
