The City Council of the, City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Present at roll. call: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Muehe, Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman 11:Filliams. The minutes of the last regular session of August 17, 1931 were read and app -owed as rend. A communication from the Azusa Chamber of Commerce was read relative to the speed of Motorists passing through Azusa. Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by Councilman Mace that this communication be referred to the Police Committee. Carried by the fol 1o«,ing vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Muehe, Meier. Noes: None. ` Absent: Councilman Williams. • A communication from Mr. Locke, Secretnry of the Leamue of California Municipalities inviting the City Officials to attend the Convention to be held September 21-24 in Monterey, was presented. Moved and carried that same be placed on file. An application for a position with the City as a Traffic Officer was presented by Ed. A. Thompson. ' Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by Councilman Mace and unanimously carried that same be ^laced on file. A communication from the Mayor of Inglewood requesting information relative to our Electric Distributing System was read. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Johnson that this matter be referred to Jack Pierce. Azusa Chamber of Com- merce Communication referred to Police Committee. Invitation read. A.^plication ordered filed. Communicationn�re ferred to Jack Pierce. RESOLUTION No: 1271 ADOPTED. RESOLUTION No. 12.72 ADOPTED. Councilman Mace offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF A7US A ORDERING A CERTAIN GRANT DEED F02 STREET PURPOSES RE- CORDED. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman l•Aace that this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution 1271.
