The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the above
time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
Mace, Johnson, Williams, Muehe,
Meier, City Clerk. Absent: City
Attorney.
The minutes of -the last regular meeting'of December 21,+ 1931
inr were read and approved as read. ,
A request made by Albert H. Miller, for
Helen B. Miller, to remove a bottle
tree and replace same with a pepper
tree, inx;Zhe parkway of Lot 9, Block 11,
City of Azusa, was `read.
Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded
by Councilman 111illiams and duly carried
that this request be granted.
A communication signed by Fred C. Collins,
Secretary for the San Gabriel Valley
Protective Association was read
relative to his appearing before the
various hater Companys to correct'
rumors being circulated regarding
the exportation of waters, and the
Pasadena situation. Moved and
carried that same be placed on file.
A communication from. J. 0. Durrell
and one from Vosburg Brothers, Inc.
relative to the expiration of Insurance
policies; one for the Library and
one for the Light, and Water Departmentd
were read. Moved by Councilman Mace,
seconded by Councilman,,.Johnson that
this matter be referre'd;to the Audit
and'Finance Committee with power to
act. Carried by the following vote
of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen:
Mace, Johnson, Williams, Muehe, Meier.
Noes: None Absent: None.
A request to operate an auto wrecking
business on the north aide of -West
Foothill Boulevard,and to have the -
license No. 679 issued to Petr. Jacobson,
transferred from Mr. Jacobson's name
to that of M. F. Moya was presented.
Moved by.Councilman Johnson, seconded
by Councilman Mace that the matter
of establishing an auto wrecking business
and also the transfer of license, be
referred to the Board of Public Works,
with power to act. Carried by the
following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Jphnson, .
Williams, Muehe, Meier. Noes: .None.
Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded
by Councilman Mace that the Mayor and
City Clerk be authorized to sign a
warrant in favor of the Azusa Chamber
of Commerce in the amount of�$6%'13,
in payment of Christmas tree decorations,
Carried by the following vote of the
Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace,
Johnson, Williams, Muehe, Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Councilman Mace offered a resolution
