HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 99-O60 ORDINANCE NO. 99-06 0 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE (TITLE 88 OF THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE) ARTICLE VIII, DIVISION 2 °BILLBOARDS" ADDING SECTION 88-1690 REQUIRING COMPLIANCE WITH MUNICIPAL CODE ARTICLE III, DIVISION 1 OF CHAPTER 6 - RESTRICTING OUTDOOR ADVERTISING OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, TOBACCO PRODUCTS AND CERTAIN ADULT TELEPHONE MESSAGES CODE AMENDMENT #208 The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: Section 88-1690 of Article VIII, Division 2 `Billboards" of Title 88 of the Azusa Municipal Code, is hereby added as follows: Sec. 88-1690. Subject Matter Restrictions All billboards shall comply with the provisions of Article III. Division 1 of Chapter 6 of the Azusa Municipal Code, restricting the location of outdoor advertising of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and certain adult telephone messages. SECTION 2: The City Council hereby determines that this recommendation and adoption of the proposed ordinance pursuant to the City of Azusa implementing procedures and the State California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines (Article 19, Categorical Exemptions) will not have a significant impact on the environment, and is Categorically Exempt as a member of Class 8 of the CEQA Guidelines and Class 8 of the City Azusa Local Guidelines for Implementing CEQA. law. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days after its passage. SECTION 4: A summary of this Ordinance shall be published in the manner required by PA,SKEP%APMQVED AD ADOPTO t1/ss V day of March, 1999.
