Present at roll call: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Morden, Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman: Tilliams. The minutes of the last regular meeting of April 18, 1932 were read and approved as read. 101 An application for the position as Assistant to Si)perintendent at the Slauson Memorial Application filed. Plunge was presented by Ira Calvert. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Morden and duly carried that same be placed on file. A communication presented by D. A. Beardslee, Chairman of The Pioneer Society of the Upper 'San Gabriel Valley, requesting permission to place a monument at the South entrance to the City Park and dedicate it on Memorial Day.',;was read. Councilman Morden Offered'a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RESOLUTION No 1292. AZUSA AUTHORIZING A MONUMENT TO BE PLACED ADOPTED. IN THE CITY PARK IN COMMEMORATTON OF THE PIONEER SETTLERS IN THE UPPER SAN GABRIEL VALLEY. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Morden that this resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1292. Carried by the following, vote of the Council: Ayes:. Mace,, Johnson, Morden, Meier. ' Noes: -None. Absent: Councilman: Williams. A statement covering operations of Light Statement filed. &.Water Departments for the period July 1, 1931 to March 31, 1932, presented by R. D. Crenshaw & Company was ordered placed on file.
