Present at roll call: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson,,Morden, Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman Williams. The Minutes of the last regular meeting of May 16, 1932 were read and approved as read. Four applications'foroffice on police force were offered by C. C. Collins, ----*alter Lovelace, J. IV. Moon and A. J. Haws. Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman Mace that same be -placed on file. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson. Morden Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Williams. Applications filed. 119E. The Standard Oil Company's offer to the Standard Oil Co. Contract City, of contract prices on gasoline, was filed. presented. Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman Mace and duly carried that same be placed on file. Two bids to replace water tank on fire truck were presented as follows: ;,:c' THE CONVEYOR COMPANY Bids on tank. Confirming the -writer's verbal quotation, we can furnish ,you a -10 -gauge steel tank,'approximately 21" x 46" x 29" high, with'upper corners beveled off, as agreed: tank to be all welded construction, galvanized inside and out after welding, with 4" filling pipe'and cap and four angle iron clips for supporting same in truck frame; also steel Piping from tank, 13" diameter, with 1,�" all brass globe valve, to an extension fitting on present suction line opening, which fitting we will also furnish. We will take our own messurements-on the truck, subiect to your approval,'and will furnish the outfit as described, complete, for $80.00, f.o.b. the fire house at Azusa. C. M. Moved by Councilman supply of incandescent by P. E. Calvert and Morden, seconded MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING HELD June 6, 1932 7:30 P.M. by Councilman Mace that the'City Clerk be authorized to sign;;aAn-'behalf "of;,the City of Azusa.,the contract presented by the Calvert Electric Shop. Carried by the following; vote of the Council: Ayes 'Councilmen-: Mace, Johnson, Morden, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: C-uncilman Williams. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Mace that the City Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids for the removal of refuse. Carried by the following vote of the Council: 'Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Morden, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Council- men Williams. The matter of insurance policy on the Lexington truck was -presented:"- - - Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Mace -that the renewal of same be referred"•to the Audit and Finance Committee with power"to act." Carried by the follnving vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilman Mace, Johnson, Morden,. Meier. Noes: None.' Absent: Councilman Williams. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded �by Councilman Mace that the following 'bills ,be allowed and" -warrants ordered drawn upon the Treasury for the same. Carried by the following vote of'the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Morden,' Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Williams.
