Present at roll call: Councilmen: Mace, Morden, Williams, Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman Johnson. The minutes of the last regular meeting of June 20, 1932 were read and approved as read. A communication from the League of California relative to tax on electrical energy was read. Moved,- by Councilman Morden, seconded' by Councilman'Mace and duly'carried that same be placed on file. Communication- filed'. A communication from Mr.,Venberg, relative Communication referr. to payment on Line -O -Lite Contract was- ed to City Attorney. read. -_'Moved by Councilman Morden -,'seconded n Y�by Councilmam,Mace and duly carried tiii t `same be referred to the City Attorney. A communication,on fleet insurance was read and ordered placed on file. Councilman Morden offered an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA PROHIBITING VENDING,ON STREETS AND HIGA'NAYS IN THE CITY OF AZUSA, AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF. to be placed upon second reading. This ordinance was then read for the second time.',Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Morden`that this Ordinance be adopt 'ed,as `read and numbered Ordinance No. 297. Carried by the following vote of the•:Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Morden, Williams, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Johnson. Councilman Morden -offered two resolutions entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE . CITY OF AZUSA ORDERING,A GERTAIN DEED POR STREET AND HIGHWAY PURPOSES RECORDED. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ORDERING A CERTAIN DEED FOR STREET AND HIGHWAY PURPOSES RECORDED. Moved'by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Morden that these'reolutions be adopted as read and numbered Resolutions No., 1299 and Resolution No. 1300. Carried by the following vote of the,Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Morden, Williams, Meier. 'Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Johnson. The contract between the City of Azusa and the Consolidated Rock Company for purchase of rock during month of July, was presented. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Morden that same be referred to the Purchasing Committee, with power to Act. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen:. Mace, Morden, Williams, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Johnson. Communication filed. ORDINANCE NO. `299' ADOPTED. RESOLUTION NO. 1299 ADOPTED. ' RESOLUTION N0. 1300 ADOPTED. Contract for purchase of rock referred to Purchasing Committee with power to act. MINUTES OF THE REOULAR;MEETING HELD July 5, 1932 7:30 P. M. Councilman Mace offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE,CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA FIXING, THE SALARY ;OF ,CERTAIN CITY EMPLOYEES. ; Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Morden that this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1301. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilman: Mace „ Morden, Williams, Meier;. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen: Johnson. Moved and carried -that, the City Clerk be instructed to check amount paid in dues to the League of California Municipalities and report back at next regular meeting. Councilman Morden offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPOINT}IIJG A DEPUTY POLICE OFFICER. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded.by Councilman Morden & Duly carried that this resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution #1302. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Morden, Williams, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Johnson. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Williams that.the following bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon ' the Treasury for the same.
