Present at roll call: Councilmen: Mace Johnson, Mrrden, Meier; City Attorney, and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman: Williams. The minutes of the last regular meeting of July ]8, 1932 were read and approved as read. Councilman Williams entered the meeting and took his seat. 151 The Clerk announced that she had received Bids on Insurance three bids and one request on the renewal of Insurance Policy for City Well equip- ment. Moved by Councilman Morden,seconded by Councilman Mace and duly carried that these bids be now opened, examined and publicly declared: VOSBURG BROTHERS INCORPORATED The policy of the Aetha Insurance Company on the Azusa Avenue Well pumping equipment.in the amount of $1,300.00 expires August 12, 1932. We will write this insurance for a'term of three.years at a premium of $26.00. We respectfully solicit this business. Yours very truly, VOSBURG BROTHERS INCORPORATED. J. C. MUEHE INSURANCE Gentlemen: On August 12th, 1932 the Fire Insurance covering plant and equipment on pump located'on the west 70 ft of Lot 4 Tract 627 well expires. If the same coverage for $1300.00 is renewed the rate would be $2.00 per 100 for 3 years, or $26.00 premium. . A communication from the City Clerk of Pomona asking permission to hang City of Pomona granted a banner advert isina-the Los Angeles permission to hang banner County Fair at Pomona, was read. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Williems that same be granted. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Morden, Williams, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: None. A communication from the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad Company Communication from Atchi- declaring exemption from government son Topeka and Sante Fe tax on electric consumption, was read. Railway Co. referred to Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by City Attorney. Councilman Morden that same be referred to the City Attorney with instructions to write the Santa Fe Company concerning same. Councilman Morden offered a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDTNG FOR THE TRANSFER OF TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS (82,500.00) FROM THE RESOT.UTION NO. 1303 WATER RESERVE FOND TO THE WATER FUND. ADOPTED. Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman Mace that this resolution be adopted as read and numbered Re- solution #1303. A communication from the League of California Municipalities relative to three meetings to be held in Santa Ana -San Jose and Sacramento during the month of August -was read. Councilman Marden offered a resolution entitled: Mr. Browns request to remove rubbish denied. Communication filed. Resolution of Tax Payers filed. City Attorney reported that the Los Angeles County -Welfare Department have accepted full responsibility for County Employees Insurance, when work - Ing on Azusa projects.
