M. . 167, The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilmen: Johnson, Mnrden, Williams,,Pdeier, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman: Mace. The minutes of the last regular meet- ing of August 15, 1932 were read and approved as read: Two applications for vacation were presented by C. C. Kimbrell and Arthur 'Nolfe. Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman 111illiams that the applica- tion of Arthur Wolfe be granted with pay and that the application of C. C. Kimbrell be granted with pay, with the sanction of the Chief of Police. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Johnson, Morden, Williams, Beier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Mace. A resolution passed by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors appropriat- ing 13,500.00 for the improvement of Azusa Avenue, was read and ordered placed on file. An opinion offered by the office of County Counsel Mattoon on the matter of the Los Angeles County Health De- partment serving the Municipalities was for one dollar per year. Moved and carried that same be placed on file. A communication from the Southwestern Engineering Corporation was presented and ordered placerl on file. Councilman Johnson offered a resolu- tion entitled: A RESOLUTION Or THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF A_ZUSA TRANSFERRING FUNDS. Moved by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Morden that this Resolu- tion be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1309. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Johnson, Morden; Williams, Meier. Noes: None/ Absent: Councilman Mace. Application for vaca- tions granted with pay. Resolution read and ordered placed on file. Opinion on County Healt] Department read and read ordered placed on file. Councilman Morden offered a Resolu- tion entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE"CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, LEVYING TAXES AND FIXING THE TAX RATE OF ALL PROPERTY IN SAID CITY FOR ALT,14UNICIPAL PURPOSES AND TO PAY THE BONDED INDEBTEDNESS THEREOF AND INTEREST ON THE SAME FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1932-1933. Councilman Johnson offered a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPOINTING WALTFR LOVELACE TO THE OFFICE OF SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER AND FIXING HIS SALARY. . Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman Johnson that this Resolu- tion be adopted -as read and numbered Resolution No. 1312. Councilman Morden offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA TRANSFERRING FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS 05000.00) FRONT THE LIGHT FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by,Cpuncilrman Williams that this resolution be adopted as read and .numbered Resolution No. 1313.'
