M. 21T" Due to the absence of a quorum the City Council of the City of Azusa adjourned to meet at 8:00 o'clock P. M. February 6, 1933. CITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, February 6, 1933 8:00 P. M. The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilmen: ' Mace, Johnson, Williams, Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman Morden. The minutes of the last regular meeting of January 16, 1933 were read and approved as read. An invitation to attend a meeting of the Los Angeles County League held in San Gabriel, was read. Moved and carried that the City Clerk be instructed to reserve four places for the City Council. A communication from Hiram Johnson was read and ordered placed on file. Mr. B. C. Short, Representative for Southern Counties Gas Company, pre- sented a bid on proposed installation of Heating Equipment in the City Hall. Same was ordered placed on file. Mr. Turner appeared before the City ' Council in behalf of certain people now residing in San Gabriel Canyon, who are seeking land on which to locate. No action vas taken. t Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Williams that the Mayor, and City Clerk he authorized to sign a contract for the purchase of a 1931 Buick Sedan to be used for Police pur- poses. Carried by the,following vote, of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: - Mace, Johnson, Williams, Meier. Noes:, None. Absent:- Councilman Morden. Councilman Johnson offered a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION,OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA REQUESTING LOS ANGELES COUNTY, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION,IN THE STATE OF'CALIFORNIA, TO SUPPLY NECES:ARY FUNDS TO PAY FOR LABOR FOR LIGGING, LAYING AND FILLING TRENCHES FOR PIPE LINE TO BE USED FOR WATER SUPPLY PUR=' POSES ON CERTAIN,STREETS IN THE CITY ' OF AZUSA, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY. Moved by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Mace that this Resolution - be adopted as read and numbered Res= olution No. 1328. Carried by the following vote of the Council. Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Williams, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morden. Invitation read and ordered placed on file. Communication read and ordered placed on file. Mr. Short presented bid for installatio o f heating equip- ment. Mr. Turner ad- dressed the Council Mayor and City C1er: authorized to sign contract. RESOLUTION NO.1328 ADOPTED. 4SJAU MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING HELD February 7,'8:00 P. M. 219W= Councilman Mace offered a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,..CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE CITY ATTORNEY WHEN DIRECTED BY THE COUNCIL, TO ATTEND MEETINGS OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY CITY PLANNERS ASSOC- RESOLUTION NO. 1329 IRTION AND KINDRED ORGANIZATIONS. ADOPTED. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Williams that this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered t Resolution No. 1329. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Williams, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Council- man Morden. The City Attorney reported that there is no liability on the part of the City City Attorney re - to any man working in this City who , ported on City's is employed by the Los Angeles County liability for. Welfare Department. The City Attorney workman employed by presented his opinion, in this matter, County, in writing. The same to be placed on file.
