CITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, February 20, 1933 7:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the above time
and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
Mace, Johnson, Morden, Williams, Meier,
City Attorney and City Clerk.
The minutes of the last regular meeting
of February 6, 1933 were read and approved
as read.
The monthly report of the Los Angeles
County Health Department was presented.
Moved and carried that same be placed
on file.
A communication from George Fuhr relative
to the installation of a fire plug and
larger water main on the corner of
Eleventh and Soldano Avenue, was read.
Moved and carried that this matter be
referred to the Superintendent of
Light and Water with power to act.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace,
Johnson, Morden, Williams, Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Monthly report of

Dept. ordered placed on
file.

was presented.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by
Councilman Morden that this matter be
referred to the Superintendent of Light
and Water to report back at the next
meeting. Carried by the following vote
of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen:
Mace,lJohnson, Morden, Williams, Meier,
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Williams, seconded
by Councilman Morden that requests
made by lecturers, for use of Auditorium,
be denied. Carried by the following
vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen:
Mace, Johnson, Morden, Williams, Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
A petition signed by twenty property
owners, requesting the City Council to
open and maintain Vernon Avenue from
its present Southerly point, South to
Foothill Boulevard, was presented.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by
Councilman Morden that same be referred
to the City Engineer for checking.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace,
Johnson, Morden, Williams, Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Councilman Mace offered a resolution
entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF AZUSA AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO PURCHASE
CERTAIN PIPE LINE FOR THE REPAIR AND
EXTENSION OF THE CITY,WATER WORKS SYSTEM
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Motion moved and carried
to denyg. lecturers use
of Auditorium.
A petition to open Vernon
Avenue read and referred
to City Engineer.
