Present -at roll call: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Morden, Williams, Meier., ,- City Attorney and City Clerk. The minutes of the last regular meetipg of, March -21, 1933 were read and apprgved as read. The Clerk announced that she had received two bids in response to notice inviting, bids on steel pipe. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman M rden that these bids be now opened Q publicly examined. W UTHERN PIPE AND CASING COMPANY u Approxi 1700 lineal feet 8" I.D. #14 ga. A written opinion by City Attorney Tscharner relative to the complaint made by Mrs. Richards,, was read, Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded Communication filed. by Councilman Morden and duly carried that the City Clerk be instructed to send Mrs. Richards a copy of Mrs. Tscharner's report. A communication from Benjamin Franklin Bond and Indemnity Corporation was read and ordered placed on file. A resolution, adopted by the Board of Supervisors, declaring Azusa Avenue no longer to be a part of the County System of Highways was read. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Johnson that the History be accepted and the City Clerk instructed to acknowledge same and express the appreciation of the City Council. History of Eastern Stars ordered placed on file. The Superintendent of Light and Water reported Souther Pipe and Casing Company low bidder Southern on steel pipe. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Morden that the bid for steel pipe be awarded to the Southern Pipe and Casing Company and the City Clerk instructed to return certified check to Crane Company. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Morden, Williasm, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: None. Councilman Mace offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA TRANSFERRING $1500 FROM THE WATER RESERVE FUND TO THE WATER FUND AND $5000 FROM THE LIGHT FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND. Moved by Councilman Williams, seconded by douncilman Mace that this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1337. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Morden, Williams, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Nqne. Company on pipe. Pipe & Casing awarded bid RESOLUTION NO. 1337 ADOPTED. Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Cotaicilman Williams that motion made and carried at regular adjourned meeting held March 21, 1933 relative to wheels and tires for fire truck, be rescinded. Councilman Johnson offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING RESOLUTION #1320 ENTITLED "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA REQUESTING LOS ANGELES COUNTY, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO SUPPLY FUNDS TO PAY FOR THE LABOR OF IMPROVING PARTS OF CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF AZUSA, A MUNICPAL CORPORATION IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY". Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Williams that this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1338. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Morden, Williams, Meier, Noes: None. Absent: None. The Superintendent -of Light and Water made a report on Agricultural energy. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Mace that the matter of supplying energy to Robert Wood, be re- ferred to the Superintendent of Light and Water with power to act. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Morden, Williams, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: None. Motion made March 21-1933 rescinded. RESOLUTION NO. 1338 ADOPTED.
