Due to lack -of a quorum the Clerk ad-
journed the meeting until 8:15.
City Hall, Azusa, California, April.11, 1933 8:15 P.M.
The City Council of .the City of Azusa met
in regular adjourned session at the above
time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilman Mace,
Johnson, Morden, Williams, Meier., City
Attorney and City.Clerk.
Councilman Johnson offered a resolution
entitled:
A RE30 LUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA ACCEPTING THE SUM OF $3,000.00
FROM THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES AS PER RE-
SOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF
MARCH 279 19339 AND DIRECTING THAT THE
WORK FOR WHICH SAID MONEY WAS APPROPRIATED
BY THE COUNTY SHOULD BE IMMEDIATELY
INITIATED.
Moved by Councilman Williams, seconded
by Councilman Morden that this Resolu-
tion be adopted as read and numbered Re-
solution #1339. Carried by the following
vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen:
Mace, Johnson, Morden, Williams, Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Williams, seconded
by Councilman Morden that the City Clerk
be instructed to send Certified copy of
Resolution No. 1339, together with letter
of etplanation, to H. A. Payne, County
Auditor. Carried by the following vote
of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace,
Johnson, Morden, Williams, Meier. Noes;
None. Absent: None.
A telephone message from Mark Telefson
Was read. Moved by Councilman Jr,hnson,
seconded by Councilman Mace and dulycarried
that the City Attorney be instructed to
send telegrams -and follow up letters to
Senator McKinley and Assembly Evans, re-
garding Health Service within incorporated
cities.
RESOLUTION NO. 1339
ADOPTED.
City Clerk instructed
to write letter to
H. A. Payne.
City Attorney instructed
to send telegrams to
Senator McKinley and
Assemblyman Evans.
Mr. Wulff offered a verbal protest against
blasting by the Woods Sand & Gravel Company.Mr. Wulff protested
City Attorney ruled that same was not a on blasting.

Mrs. Winchester read a protest offered by
the women of the Azusa Baptist Church Mrs. Winchester read
