The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the above
time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilman Mace,
Johnson, Morden, Meier, City -Attorney
and City Clerk. •Absent: Councilman
Williams.
The minutes of the last regular meeting
of April 3rd and the adjourned meetings
of April 6th,llth and 14th,1933 were
read and approved as read.
Councilman Williams entered ,theirmeeting
and took his seat.
An application to sell beer filed by Application to sell
C. J. Ward, was read. Moved by Council- beer filed.
man Williams, seconded by Councilman
Johnson and duly carried that same be ,
placed on file.
An application offered by Leon Nassar, to
operate a taxi service in Azusa was read.
Moved by Councilman Williams, seconded
by Councilman Morden and duly carried
that same be referred to the Council
As a Committee of the Whole with power
to act.
A request, made by Councilman Morden,
for a leave of absence from Council
meetings during the months of May,
June, July and possibly August, 1933
was read.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded
by Councilman Williams that same be
granted. Carried by the following
voteeof the Council: Ayes: Councilmen:
Mace, Johnson, Willis4s;:Meier. .
Posse None. Absent: None. Councilman
not voting.
Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded
by Councilman Williams and duly carried
that the request of Ernest Brown to
operate a pool hall in Azusa be tabled
until the next regular meeting.
Councilman Williams offered a resolution
entitled:
Application to operate
a taxi Service tabled
until next regular meet-
ing.
Request of Councilman Mor-
den to be absent from City
granted.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA AGREEING TO PAY LOS ANGELES
COUNTY, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION IN THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA,'CERTAIN MONEY FOR BLASTING
ROCK TO BE USED ON THE CITY STREETS OF THE RESOLUTION NO. 1340
CITY OF AZUSA. ADOPTED'.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by
Councilman Morden that this resolution
be adopted as read and numbered Resolution
No. 1340.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace,
Johnson, Morden, Williams. -Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded
by Councilman Williams that the follow-
ing bills be allowed and warrants ordered, Bills
drawn upon the Treasury for the same.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace,
Johnson, Morden, Meier. Noes: None.
