CITY BALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA. May 1, 1933 7:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the above time
and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Mace,
Johnson, Morden, Meier, City Attorney
and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman:
Williams.
The minutes of the regular meeting of April
17th, and the regular adjourned meetings
of April 21st, 24th, 25th and 28, 1933
were read and approved as read.
A communication signed by Mr. J. B. Stair,
president of the First National Bank of
Azusa, relative to Azusa Agricultural
Water Stock was read. Moved by Council-
man Mace, seconded by Councilman Johnson
and duly carried that the City Clerk be
instructed to file and acknowledge same.
An invitation to attend the Aqueduct
Progress Celebration was read and ordered
placed on file.
A financial report submitted by the San
Gabriel Valley Protective Association
was presented and ordered placed on file.

An invitation filed.
Financial report of S.
G. V. P. Assn, ordered
placed on file.
A statement made by A. IN. McMillan and
R. C. Branion in the matter of handling Report ordered filed.
Reconstruction Finance Corporation funds,
was read and ordered placed on file.
A protest, offered by seven residents
in the vicinity of the blacksmith shop
' located on Lot 1, Block 39,,City of Azusa,
was offered. Moved by Councilman Johnson,
seconded by Councilman Morden that this
matter be referred to the Board of Public
Works to report back at the next regular
meeting. Carried by the following vote
of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace,
Johnson, Morden, Meier. Noes: None,
Absent: Councilman Williams.

of the Whole to report back at the next regular
meeting. Carried by the following vote of the
Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson,
Morden, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Council-
man Williams.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by E. Brown's request to
Councilman Morden that the request of operate a pool hall
Ernest Brown to operate a pool hall in denied.
Azusa, be denied. Carried by the follow-
ing vote of the Council: Ayes: Council-
men: Mace, Johnson, Morden, Meier. Noes:
None. Absent: Councilman Nilliams.
Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded
by Councilman Mace that the following Bills
bills be allowed and warrants ordered
drawn upon the Treasury for the same.
