The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular adjourned session at the
above time and place.
Present -at roll call: Councilmen: Mace,
Johnson,'Morden, Williams, Meier, City
Attorney and City Clerk.
A communication signed by F. A. Baughn,
Exec. Secretary of the Los Angeles League
of'Municipalities, was read. Moved and
carried that same be placed on file.
The City Clerk announced that she had
received fourteen applications to sell
alcoholic beverages in the City of
Azusa; ten (10) Class "A", three(3)
Class "B" and one Wholesale under Class
"E". Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded
by Councilman Morden that the applica-
tions be opened and examined.
Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by
Councilman Mace that the following named
persons be granted Class "A", "B" and
'E" license as specified, upon payment
of the necessary feeand upon furnishing
bond required by the Ordinance No. 299.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council: Ayes: 'Councilmen: Mace,
Johnson; -Morden, Williams, Meier. Noes:
None. Absent: None.

Councilman Morden offered a resolution
entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA EMPLOYING W. D. SINGLETON
AS BUILDING INSPECTOR FOR THE CITY OF
AZUSA, AND FIXING HIS SALARY OR COMPENS-
TION.
Moved by:Councilman Mace, seconded by
Councilman Johnson that this Resolution
be adopted as read and numbered Resolu-
tion No. 1343. Carried by the following
vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen:
Mace, Johnson, Morden, Williams, Meier:
Noes: N.ne. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Williams, seconded
by Councilman Mace that the City Clerk
be instructed to return all $5.00 filing
fees accompanying applications to sell
Light wires and beer. Carried by the
following vote of the Council: Ayes:
Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Morden,
Williams, Meier. Noes: None. Absent:
None.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by
Councilman Williams that the following
bill be allowed and a warrant -drawn - '
upon the Treasury for the same. Carried
by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Morden,
Williams, Meier. Noes: 'None. Absent:
None.
