Present at roll call: Councilmen: Mace, Calvert, Johnson, Meier, City Attorney and.City Clerk. Absent: Councilman Morden. Mayor Meier appointed the following committees: Im A report, submitted by Paul E. Kressly, Consulting engineer, on the opening and exten- sion of Vernon Avenue was presented. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Mace that no further action be taken in this matter by the City Council, until further instructions are received from the petitioners. Moved by, Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Calvert that the City Engineer be instructed to prepare plans and specifications for same under the Enabling Act covered by Assembly Bill No: 980. Also that the Mayor and City Clerk be instructed and authorized to make application, at the proper time,, for the necessary funds. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Calvert, Johnson, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morden. Councilman Johnson offered an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ADOPTING AN OFFICIAL MAP OF THE SYSTEM OF NUMBERING BUILDINGS IN THE CITY OF AZUSA AND PROVIDING FOR THE NUMBERING OF ALL BUILDINGS WITHIN SAID CITY IN ACCOR- DANCE WITH THE SYSTEM OF NUMBERING DEFINED UPON SAID OFFICIAL MAP. be placed upon its second reading. This Ordinance was then read for the second time. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Johnson that this ordinance be adoptedias read and numbered Ordinance No. 300. ' a Councilman -Johnson offered an Ordinance entitled:' AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA REGULAT- ING THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, ENLARGEMENT, ALTERATION, REPAIR, MOVING, REMOVING, DE- MOLITION, CONVERSION, OCCUPANCY, EQUIPMENT, USE, HEIGHT, AREA AND MAINTENANCE OF ALL BUILDINGS AND/OR STRUCTURES IN,THE CITY OF AZUSA; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND COLLECTION OF FEES THEREFOR; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; -DECLARING AND ESTABLISHING FIRE ZONES;REPEALING'ORDINANCE NO. 261 OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, to be placed upon its first reading. City Clerk and Tax Collector authoriz- ed to figure pen- alties on Delinquer taxes on basis of State Law. Moved -by Councilman Mace. seconded Executive Session. by Councilman Calvert that the City Council go into executive session for thirty minutes.
