The City.Council'of the City of Azusa met in regular session at`the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilman Mace, Calvert, Johnson,'Morden, Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk. The minutes of the last regular meet- ing of Sept. 18th and the adjourned meeting of Sept. 25th were read . and approved as read. The -City Clerk announced that she had received six applications for renewals of Alcoholic Beverage license: Moved and carried that same be read: Safeway Stores --C. A. Nelson --C. H. Dickerson --Anthony Ortuno--Acme Distributing.ComparVand Floyd Herron. Moved -by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman Mace that the renewals be granted. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Council men: Mace, Calvert, Johnson. Norden, Meier, Noes: None. Absent: None. An application, presented by Peter Mayhew, for a Class A license was read. Six applications for renewals granted. Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman Mace that same be granted. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Calvert, -,Johnson, Morden, Meier. Noes: None: Absent: None. Peter Mayhew's granted Class A. license. An application, presented by the Orange Belt Ice Company, for a Distributor's License was read. Moved by Councilmen;Morden, seconded by Councilman Mace that same be granted. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Calvert, Johnson, Morden, Meier. Noes: None, Absent: None. Orange Belt Ice Co. granted distributors license. Councilman Morden offered a resolu- tion entitled: - A RESOLUTION OF -THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA REQUESTING LOS ANGELES COUNTY, A MUNICIPAL COPRORATION IN THE STATE OF CALIF ORNIA,,TO SUPPLY FUNDS:' TO PAY FOR THE LABOR OF IMPROV SING PARTS OF CERTAIN STREETS IN THE SAID CITY OF AZUSA. Moved•by=Councilman Johnson, seconded ' by Councilman Calvert that this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1363 Carried by -the following vote of the,Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Calvert, Johnson, Morden, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: None. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Calvert that Paul Brecht be granted a refundr;on taxes, in the amount of $17.60. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Calvert, Johnson, Morden, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: None. RESOLUTION NO. 1363 ADOPTED. Moved by Councilman Calvert, seconded by Councilman Mace that the City Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids for truck, as per specifications drawn by Mr. Pierce. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Council- men: Mace, Calvert, Johnson, Morden, Meier, Noes: Ngne. Absent: None. Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman Mace that the following bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon the Treasury for the same. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Calvert, Johnson, Morden, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: None.
