Present at roll call: Councilmen: Mace, Calvert, Johnson, Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman : Morden. A Communication signed by C. C. Carpenter requesting that certain ' school lanes be painted, was read. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Mace and duly carried that same be referred to the Chief of Police with orders that it be taken care of. Superintendent of Light Department, Jack Pierce reported on bids for truck. Moved by Councilman Calvert, seconded b7 -Councilman Mace that all bids sub- mitted on truck, winch and body be rejected, and City Clerk instructed to return checks which accompanied the bids. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Calvert, Johnson, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morden. Communication from C. C. Carpenter referred to Chief of Police. r3 All bids on truck rejected. i Councilman Johnson offered a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DETERMINING TO PURCHASE ONE TRUCK CHASSIS, BODY AND WINCH IN OPEN MARKET AFTER REJECTING BIDS SUB- RESOLUTION NO.. 1364 MITTED AFTER PUBLICATION. ADOPTED. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Calvert that this resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution -No. 1364. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Calvert, Johnson, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman"Morden. Councilman Johnson offered a resolu- tion entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY 60 TJITC IL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA TRANSFERRING $3000.00 FROM THE LIGHT RESERVE FUND TO THE STREET IMPROVEMENT RELIEF FUND. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman"Calvert that this resolu- tion be adopted as read and numbered Resolution no. 1365. Carried by the following vote of -the Council: Ayes:" Councilmen: Mace, Calvert, Johnson, Meier. Noes: None Absent: Councilman Morden.
