The City Council of the City of
Azusa met in regular adjourned
session at the above time and
place.,
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
Mace, Calvert, Meier, City Attorney
and City Clerk. Absent: Councilmen:
Johnson and Morden.

•Mn. A. Miller addressed the City
' Council on behalf of the Rotary Club,
.requesting that the signs placed by
the'Chamber of Commerce at the West
and East City limits be reconditioned.
Moved and carried that this matter
be.referred to the Board of Public
Works with power to act.
A. Miller addressed
the City Council regarding
signs.
Councilman Calvert offered a Resolu-
tion entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CHASSIS
CAB AND BODY THEREFORE & A WINCH, IN THE REAOLUTION NO. 1,366
OPEN'MARKET, BIDS HAVING BEEN HERETOFORE ADOPTED.
REJECTED, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERKTO SIGN PURCHASE CONTRACTS.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded
by Councilman Calvert that this Reso-
lution be adopted as read and numbered
Resolution No. 1366. Carried by the
following vote of the Council:- Ayes:
Councilman Mace, Calvert, Meier.- Noes:
None*, Absent: Councilman Johnson
and -Morden.
' Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded
by Councilman Calvert that the matter
of pulling the pump in City well
#3'`and'the sale of an old motor, be
referred to the Board of Public
Works, with power to act.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace,
Calvert, Meier. Noes: None. Absent:
Councilmen Johnson and Morden.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by
Councilman Calvert that the'matter
of adjustment with the State Com-
pefisation Insurance Fund regarding
compensation for County Welfare men
who are working on City streets and
parkway",s, be rferred to the City
Attorney to report back at the next
regular meeting.
An'application to sell beer under a
Class B license was presented by
Jennie"Montoya. Moved by Councilman
Calvert, seconded by Councilman Mace
that this license be granted. Carried
by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: ,Councilmen: Mace, Calvert,
Meier*- Noes: None. Absent: Council-
men Johnson and Morden.
Matter of pulling pump
referred to Board of
Public Works.
Matter of adjustment
with State Compensation
Insurance Find referred
to City Attorney.
A petition, with nine signatures
attached, requesting the improvement
of Azusa Avenue and the building
of -a new bridge over the Little Dalton
Wash, (the funds for such work to be
supplied from the State Gasoline Tax
Fund) was presented, and no action taken.
Jennie Montoya granted
Class B. license.
Petition presented.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by
Councilman Calvert that the Council Adjourn.
