The City Council of the City of Azusa, met in regular adjourned session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilman: Mace, Madison, Johnson, Morden, Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Morden that the bond for the Cit Treasurer be increased from $5000 to 50,000. Carried bythefollowing vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilman: Mace, Madison, Johnson, Morden, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: None. The City Engineer filed a written report addressed to the Honorable City Council of the City of Azusa, which report was read, as follows: To the Honorable City Council, City of Azusa, California. 431 7:30 P.M. CITY TREASURP.RIS BOND INCREBSED. CITY ENGINEERIS REPORT READ. Vusa,,Cal. ebruary 27, 1934 Gentlemen: I In the matter of the Petition presented to your Body by the Owners of improved real property within ,the district described in Resolution of Intention No. 13780 requesting that the City Council submit the proposition of acquiring and constructing the proposed works to an election of property owners within the district which would be served by said works, and which was referred to me for report, I beg to submit the following: There 4h a total of 869 avners of improved real property within the district; • The Petition was signed by 152 owners of improved real property within the district; The Petition therefore represents 17.49% of the total number of owners of improved real property. Since the Petition contains more than 15% of such owners, it will therefore be necessary for the City Council to submit the proposition to an election of property owners trithin the district. respectfully submitted, PAUL E. KRESSLY CIty ngineer PEK:B Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Mace as follows: That the report of the City Engineer in the matter of the ' petitions filed requesting that the proposition of construct- ing the proposed works and acquisition of a site for a sewage treatment plant as proposed in Resolution of Intention No. 1378 be submitted to an election.of property owners. within the district which would be served, be filed. , Which said motion was seconded by'Councilman Madison and upon roll call the same was adopted by the following vote, to -wit: Ayes:•Councilman: Mace, Madison, Johnson, Morden, Meier. Noes'- None. Absent:'N„ne. 4SJAU MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 27, 1934. Thereupon Paul E. Kressly, City Engineer, was sworn and gave evidence showing the necessity and usefulness of the proposed sewage system and sewage treatment plant and testified that all lands within the district can be served by the prop -sed works. Thereupon, the following resolution was introduced by Councilman Johnson, who moved its adoption: A RESOLUTION RECITING FACTS OF HEARING; ..OVERRULING ALL PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS AND FINDING PETITION FOR ELECTION SUFFICIENT. The motion for theadoption of the said resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Mace and the same was upon roll call adopted by the following vote, to wit: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Madsion, Johnson, Morden, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: None. Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman Johnson that the Council adjourn. d rk of tFi Ci 439 7:30 P.M. City Engineer takes oath.
