Present at roll call: Councilmen: Mace, Madison, Johnson, Morden, Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk. The minutes of the la^t regular meeting of February 19th and the adjourned meetings of February 26 and 27, 1934, were read and approved as read. A communication addressed to S. V. Cortelyou, District Engineer for the Division of State Communication Highways, written by Paul E. Kressly, City read and ordered Engineer, relative to the improvement of placed on file Azusa Avenue and the construction of a bridge over the Little Dalton Wash, was read and ordered placed on file. DESCRIPTION OF THE VOTING PRECINCT AND LOCATION OF THE POLLING PLACE; FIXING THE TIME THE POLLS SHALL BE OPEN; APPOINTIING THE ELECTION OFFICERS THEREFOR AND DIRECTING NOTICE TO BE GIVEN AT SUCH ELECTION AS REQUIRED BY LAW, AND SUBMITTING THE QUESTION OF COMPENSATING MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA. 9 F J J l W MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF MARCH 59 1934. Councilman Mace offered a resolution entitled: 7: 30 P.M. 43,7 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA CALLING AND PROVIDING FOR AND GIVING ' NOTICE OF A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON FRIDAY THE 30TH DAY OF MARCH, 1934, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE (T NERS OF IMPROVED REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE AREA OF SAID CITY DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION NO. 1378 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID CITY, THE FOLLOWING QUESTION, TO -WIT: SHALL SEWER REVENUE BONDS OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, IN THE SUM OF 1489000.00 BE ISSUED FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING AND CONSTRUCTING A SEWAGE SYSTEM IN- CLUDING TREATMENT PLANT, COLLECTING SEWERS AND APPURTENANCES TO SERVE PROPERTY WITHIN THE DISTRICT SET FORTH AND OUTLINED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1378 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID CITY OF AZUSA?; PROVIDING FOR AND DES- IGNATING AN ELECTION PRECINCT; DESIGNATING THE POLLING PLACE; APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICIALS AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ELECTION SUPPLIES ,FOR SAID ELECTION. Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Madison that this resolution be adopted as read and.numbered Resolution No. 1391. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Madison, Johnson, Morden, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: None. Mr. A. L. Miller addressed the Council regarding the cut-off at the intersection where State Highway Route No. 9 turns southeasterly from the old Foothill Boulevard, just east of the City limits of Azusa, requesting that three stop signs be placed at this intersection. Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Council- man Johnson that the City Attorney prepare a ,.resolution in this matter, to be read and the next regular meeting of the pity Council. Mr. J. C. Muehe addressed the City Council regarding the Library roof. No action was taken. Mayor Meier appointed Councilman Madison to fill the vacancies on the committees caused by the resignation of P. E.
