Qi The meeting of the City Council of the City

of 8 o'clock P.M. due to the lack of a quorum.

Councilman Mace offered an Ordinance
entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA REGULATING THE INSTALLATION,
ARRANGEMENT, ALTERATION, REPAIR, USE AND
OPERATION OF ELECTRIC WIRING, CONNECTIONS,
FIXTURES AND OTHER ELECTRICAL APPLICANCES IN
BUILDINGS AND.OTHEER STRUCTURES WITHIN THE
CITY OF AZUSA, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR
VIOLATIONS THEREOF; AND REPLEALING'ORDINANCE
NO. AND ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.

The title of this ordinance was then read.

The City Clerk announced that she had received
two bids in answer to Notice calling for
' sealed prop^sals or bids for improvements,on Two Bids for im-
Azusa Avenue -State Highway Route No. 62 in the provement of Azusa
City of Azusa. Avenue.
Moved by Councilman Mace,seconded by Councilman
Morden that the bids be now opened, examined
and publicly declared.

PROJECT NO. 1.
For the construction of a reinforced concrete bridge, re-
taining walls and other appurtenances over the Little Dalton Wash on
Azusa Avenue, and the grading and construction of asphalt concrete upon
the approaches to said bridge from station 14+00 to Station 19+50, all
as more particularly shown upon Plan No.' 13 (New Series), including the
removal of existing bridge, for the total sum of ------4$8505.77.
PROJECT NO. 2.
F r the construction of asphalt concrete pavement up^n the
existing macadam pavement on Azusa Avenue, from the southerly line
of Foothill Boulevard to the:southerly line of Foothill Boulevard to
the southerly line of Sixth Street, all as shown upon Plan No. 13,
(New Series), complete for the total sum of ----- ---$1580.90
'PROJECT NO. 3.
For the construction of ashpalt concrete pavement upon
the existing macadam pavement 22 feet in width and the construction
of asphalt concrete shoulders nine feet in width along each side of
the existing macadam pavement, including grading upon Azusa Avenue from
the southerly line of First Street to the northerly line of'Broadway,
excepting therefrom approaches to reinforced concrete bridge lying
between Station 14+00 and Station 19+50, all as shown upon_ Plan No.13
(New Series), provided that only such portion of said'Azusa Avenue shall
be paved as funds areavailable, and along those portions designated by
the Superintendent of Streeter of the City of Azusa, for grading and
paving complete as per plans, per lineal feet of roadway --$4.06.

PROJECT NO. 1.
For the construction of'a reinforced concrete bridge, re-
taining walls and other appurtenances over the Little Dalton Wash on
Azusa Avenue, and the grading and construction of asphalt concrete upon
the approaches to said bridge from Station 14+00 to Station 19+50, all
as more particularly shown upon Plan No. 13 (New Series) including

Councilman Mace that the bids be referred
to the City Engineer for checking.
City Engineeer, Paul Kressly, reported that
Ahhley M. Hendrick is the lowest responsible
bidder.
Councilman Johnson offered a Resolution. en-
titled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA AWARDING A%CONTRACT FOR THE PAV-
ING OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF AZUSA AVENUE AND
THE CONSTRUCTION OF A REINFORCED CONCRETE
BRIDGE ACROSS THE LITTLE DALTON WASH ON SAID
AZUSA AVENUE -STATE HIGHI^JAY ROUTE NO. 62
