CITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA. APRIL 16, 1934. 7:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met
in regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:. Mace, Madison,
Johnson, Morden, Meier, City Attorney and City
Clerk. ,
The minutes of the last regular meeting of
April 2nd and the adjourned meeting of April
6, 1934, were read and approved as read.
Councilman Johnson offered a Resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF -THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA TRANSFERRING FIFTEEN.HUNDRED,DOLLARS. .)
($1500) FROM THE WATER'RESERVE•FUND.TO THE WATER
FUND AND4WO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.001' FROM THE "
LIGHT FUND TO THE SERIES ACCOUNT AND EIGHTEEN
HUNDRED AND SIXTY-EIGHT. DOIrLARS(4$1868) FROM THE
1915 DEFICIENCY FUND TO THE SERIES ACCOUNT#
Moved by Couneilman'Madison, seconded by Council-,
man Mace that this Resolution -,be ad6pted as read RESOLUTION NO.
and numbered.Resolution No. 1399. 1399 ADOPTED
Carried.by the following vote of the Council:

Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by
Councilman Mace that the City Clerk be in-.
structed and authorized to release certified
check in the amount of $500.00 made to the
City of Azusa and deposited by Ashley M.
Hendrick with his bid on Azusa Avenue Project
State Highway,Route #62.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Madison, Johnson,
Morden, Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by
Councilman Mace that the City Clerk be in-
structed to pay dues in the amount of $20.00
to the Los Angeles County League of Municipalities;
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Madison, Johnson,
Morden, Meier. .
Noes: None, Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Council-
man Morden that the assignment of Ashley
Hendrick to the First National Bank of Azusa
in the sum of $403.75, due under contract, with
said A. M. Hendrick and the City -of Azusa be
and thesame ls•-heteby appr6led and°the-Cityr-
Clerk instructed to issue a warrant in 'favor
of said Bank for said amount when said sump
is paid to the City of Azusa by the State of
California, and•the same charged against the said
A. M. Hendrickts contract.

Morden, Meier,
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Council-
man Morden that the following bills be allowed
and warrants,ordered drawn-upon.the.Treasury
for the same.

Clerk be authorized to sign a contract
between the City of Azusa and the American
Legion Canyon Post No. 180.

Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by
Councilman Morden that the City Council
proceed to canvass the said returns. This
motion wqs carried by the following vote
of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Mace, Madison, Johnson,
Morden, Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Said motion being carried, the City Council
then proceeded forthwith to puBlicaly exmaine
and canvass said returns and upon completion of
said canvass by said Council it appeared that
the whole number of votes cast at said election
werel034. That the names of,petsons voted for,
the offices fo-r which they were voted, and the
number of votes given in each precinct to each
of said persons, together with the whole number
of votes which they received in the entire City
of Azusa areas follows:

THE OFFICIAL COUNT AND CANVASS OF THE VOTES OF
THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE SAID
CITY OF APRIL 9, 1934.
