A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A CERTAIN
PORTION OF GLADSTONE STREET.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa, upon recom-
mendation of the Planning Commission, does hereby declare its intention
to vacate a certain portion of Gladstone Street in the City of Azusa
as shown on a map or plan on file in the office of the City Clerk to
which reference is made for further particulars, described as follows:
That portion of the northeast one quarter (1/4) of
the northwest one quarter (1/4) of the southwest one quarter
(1/4) of Section 30 Township 1 South, Range 10 West,
San Bernardino Baseline and Meridian as recorded in the
U. S. Government District Land Office, County of Los
Angeles, State of California, more particularly described
as follows:
A strip of land of varying width the north line of said
strip being parallel to and distant southerly 40.00 feet
measured at right angles from the centerline of Gladstone
Street as shown on C.S.B Map 2346-4; the south line being
parallel to and distant southerly 30.00 feet measured at
right angles from the northerly line of the southwest one
quarter (1/4) of said Section 3; the east and west line
respectively being the east and west lines of the easterly
186.58 feet of the westerly 208.58 feet of the northeast
one quarter (1/4) of the northwest one quarter (1/4), of
the southwest one quarter (1/4) of said Section 3.
SECTION 2, The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby
elect to proceed to vacate the said portion of said street under the
provisions of Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of
the State of California.
SECTION 3. The hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. on Monday, the
17th day of January, 1966, is hereby fixed as the time and the Council
Chamber in the City Hall at 213 East Foothill, Azusa, California, is
hereby fixed as the place for hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said street.
SECTION 4. Notice of Street Vacation shall be posted by the
Street Superintendant in the manner prescribed by Section 8322 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and shall cause the same to be published within fifteen
days of its adoption in one regular issue of the Azusa Herald, a news-
paper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the
City of Azusa.
