Present at roll call: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Meier, Chester, Morden and City Clerk. Moved and'earried that the City Clerk be instructed to write Chief Engineer Eaton Informing him of the City Council's approval of the plan submitted by the Los Angeles County Flood Control for the improvement of Little Dalton Wash where it crosses First Street, and that a Resolution will be prepared and adopted at the next regular meeting of the City Council. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Meier, - Chester, Morden, Noes: None. Absent: None. Two applications,presented by Dave Clark and Theodore Thompson were read and ordered placed on file. 477 City Clerk instructed to .write Chief En- gineer Eaton. Applications filed. Contracts to furnish the City's supply of Contracts to furnish incandescent lamps were submitted by Morgans City's supply of Hardware, Spriggs Hardware and Calvert Electric lamps offered. Shop. Moved by Councilman Meier, seconded by Council- man Arnold that the City Clerk be instructed to -sign a contract between the City of Azusa and the Calvert Electric Shop for the pur- chase of incandescent lamps. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Meier, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. Moved by Councilman Meier, seconded by Council- man Chester that the matter of the purchase of a lawn sweeper be referred to the Board of Public Works with power t6 act. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Meier, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. Moved by Councilman Malone,,seconded by Councilman Chester that P. L. Davis be in- structed to care for the City's Orange Grove. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Meier, Chester, Marden. Noes: None. Absent: None. Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by Councilman Arnold that the office of Traffic Officer, occupied by Frank Ryan, be decliar- ed vacant, effective April 189 1934; Carried by the following vote of the Council:, Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Chester, Morden. Noes: Councilman Meier. Absent: None. Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Councilman Chester that the sum of Twenty- five Dollars ($25.00) now being paid to the Azusa Chamber of dommeree for advertising purposes,'be discontinued as of April 18, 1934: Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Chester, Morden. Noes: Councilman Mbier. Absent: None. City Clerk,instruct- ed to sign contract between the City cf Azusa and Calvert Electric Shop. Purchase of lawn sweeper,referred to Board of Public Works with power to act. ' P. L. Danis employ- ed to care for grove. Traffic Officer Ryan's offi:ce=de- clared vacant.
