A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A CERTAIN
PORTION OF DONNA BETH AVENUE AND NEWBURGH STREET
AT THE INTERSECTION THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa, upon
recommendation of the Planning Commission, does hereby declare its
intention to vacate a portion of Donna Beth Avenue and a portion of
Newburgh Street at the intersection thereof in the City of Azusa as
shown on a map or plan on file in the office of the City Clerk to which
reference is made for further particulars, described as follows:
That portion of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4
of the Southwest 1/4 of Township 1 South, Range 10 West,
San Bernardino Base and Meridian in the City of Azusa,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, according
to the official plat of said land filed in the District
Land Office on April 21, 1877 described as follows:
Beginning at a point in a line that is parallel
with and distant Westerly 30.00 feet at right
angles from the centerline of Donna Beth Avenue
as shown on Tract No. 19685 as per map recorded
in Book 505 pages 8 to 14 inclusive of Maps in
the office of said County Recorder, said line
being the westerly line of Donna Beth Avenue,
said point being southerly 44.49 feet from the
Northerly line of said Northwest 1/4; thence
S 0° Oil 48" W 13.91 feet to the beginning of
a tangent curve concave Northwesterly having a
radius of 15.00 feet; thence southwesterl? along
said curve through a central angle of 108 34' 55"
for an arc distance of 28.43 feet; thence N 710
23' 17" W 13.91 feet to a point of cusp; thence
Northeasterly along a curve concave Northwesterly
having a radius of 25.00 feet through a central
angle of 1080 34' 55" for an are distance of
47.38 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Azusa does
hereby elect to proceed to vacate the said portion of said street or
alley under the provisions of Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 3. The hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. on Monday, the
4th day of October, 1965, is hereby fixed as the time and the Council
Chamber in the City Hall at 213 East Foothill, Azusa, California, is
hereby fixed as the place for hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said street or
alley.
SECTION 4. Notices of Street Vacation shall be posted by
the Street Superintendant in the manner prescribed by Section 8322 of
the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and shall cause the same to be published within fifteen
days of its adoption in one regular issue of the Azusa Herald, a news-
paper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the
City of Azusa at least ten days prior to October 4, 1965,
Adopted and approved this 7th day of September , 1965.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 7th day of September , 1965, by the following
vote of the Council:
AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Cooney, Solem, McLees, Memmesheimer
