RESOLUTION NO. 4894
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA DECLARING THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IS NOT
NEEDED FOR ANY PUBLIC PURPOSE, AUTHORIZING THE
SALE THEREOF AND THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT DEED.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and
declare:
(a) That the following described real property owned by the
City is no longer needed or required for the public purpose for which
it was acquired or for any other public purpose, to wit:
That portion of the Northwest 1/4 of Southwest 1/4 of
Southwest 1/4 of Section 2, township 1 South, Range 10
West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, in the City of
Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
according to the official plat of said land filed in
District Land office on April 21, 1877, described as
follows:
Beginning at a point in a line that is parallel with
and distant Westerly 30.00 feet at right angles from
the centerline of Donna Beth Avenue as shown on Tract
No. 19685 as per map recorded in Book 505, pages 8 to
14, inclusive of maps in the office of the recorder of
said county, said point being Southerly 32.44, from the
Northerly line of said Northwest 1/4; thence along said
parallel line South 0" 01, 48" West 12.051 to the
beginning of a tangent curve concave Northwesterly
having a radius of 25.00 feet; thence Southwesterlyy
along said curve through a central angle of 1080 34,
55" a distance of 47.3811 thence tangent to said last
mentioned curve North 71 231 17" West 25.630 to
the beginning of a tangent curve concave southwesterly
having a radius of 630 feet; thence Northwesterly
along said curve through a central angle of 100 36,
46" a distance of 116.69 feet; thence North 00 Olt
48" East 1.00, to a line that is parallel with and
distant southerly 32.44 feet at right angles from the
Northerly line of said Northwest 1/4; thence along said
parallel line South 890 541 53" East 170.75 feet to the
point of beginning.
SUBJECT TO: All current taxes, conditions, restrictions,
reservations, covenants, easements and rights of way of
record.
(b) That the public interest and convenience and the public
welfare require that said property be sold or disposed of.
(c That the fair and reasonable market value of said property
is the sum of 1650.00 as determined by an impartial appraisal by a com-
petent appraiser.
(d) That Gerald Mack and Courtney J. Mack, husband and wife,
have offered to buy the said property from the City for the said sum of
$1650.00 cash.
SECTION 2. That the City of Azusa sell the above described
real property to Gerald Mack and Courtney J. Mack, husband and wife, for
the sum of $1650.00 cash; that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to
execute and deliver a deed to said property to said purchasers upon
receipt of the purchase price; and that the proper officers of the City
be authorized to take such steps and execute such instruments as may be
necessary to complete said sale in the normal and usual manner.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
Adopted and approved this 7th day of September , 1965.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 7th day of September , 1965, by the following
vote of the Council:
AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Cooney, Solem, McLees, Memmesheimer
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT: Councilmen: None
