APRIL 20, 1934. 5:00 P.M.
The City Council of -.the City of Azusa
met in Special Session at the above time
and place. ,Present at roll call:., Council-
men: Malone, Arnold, Chester, Morden and
City Clerk.
Absent: Councilman Meier.
The City Clerk read the following notice of affidavit.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a special meeting
of the City Council of the City of Azusa,
State of California, IS HEREBY CALLED to be
held in the Council Chambers of said City
at the hour of 5 o'clock P.M. on Friday, the
20th day of April, 1934, for the purpose of
consideribg,and acting upon the following
proposition, to -wit:
First: The appointment of an attorney to_
act as,the City Attorney for said city, and
to fix the terms and conditions of such
'employment and the compens9tion to be paid
such attorney.
Second: To consider and act upon bids as
-submitted for the furnishing of gasoline
to the City of Azusa.

That he is a citizen of the United States
of America, and is over the age of 18 years;
that he is the Chief of Police of the City
of Azusa, State of California; that on the
19th day of April, 1934 he served a true
copy of the annexed notice,of.special meeting
of the City Council of the City of Azusa
upon the following named persons by deliver=
Ing to each of them personally and leaving
with each of them a true copy of the annexed
notice of•meeting, as follows, to -wit:

'MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL HELD APRIL 20, 1934. 5:00 P.M.
at prices -as per sild proposals on file
in the City Clerk's office.
Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman Malone that the General Petroleum
Company be granted the priviledge of supplying
gasoline to the City of Azusa for a period
of ninety days at the prices quoted in their
proposal date April 19, 1934.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Chester, Morden.
Noes:. Councilman Arnold. Absent: Council-
man Meier.
Councilman Chester offered a Resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, IN THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE
OF CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING A CITY ATTORNEY AND
FIXING HIS COMPENSATION.
Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman Arnold that this Resolution be
adopted as read and numbered Resolution No.
1401:
Carried by the following vote of the Couneil:
Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Arnold, Chester,
Morden,
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Meier.
Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by
Councilman Chesterthat the Council adjourn.
